And what bigger idiot decided to take the train out of service without telling passenger until we got to Guildford (30 mins late) and mean now standing room only services? I am a stroke survivor and cannot stand for extended periods! Your service is a farce and appalling

A metal object fell from the station canopy at Guildford today, narrowly missing a passenger's head. Record high fares yet stations are increasingly decrepit, rolling stock and key rail infrastructure is failing. 'Nationalisation' working well? @SW_Help @networkrail @HuwMerriman

This is not a selfish post, read through the thread to the end, showing recognition that the relatives deserve #stroke
As a survivor of a stroke, I had to regain and relearn things all over again. It is not easy for the person that has the stroke. And during my recovering process, I learned a very important thing.
No one will fully understands what we as stroke survivors go through.

Really disappointing that you didn't take us up on our offer to meet and discuss the many issues passengers share with us. Hopefully (belatedly) you will have the courtesy to reply to our letter, something your predecessors never failed to do. Or is this a one-sided conversation?

It would appear so, yes. The DfT is placing continual demands on operators to cut costs and free WiFi, having previously been heralded as a way of attracting passengers, is now being dropped and/or downgraded. Record high fares, yet ever-expanded penny pinching. Gov run railways.

They've certainly not been a success for passengers, but then again we're an afterthought in all of this. Caught in the middle of a protracted dispute between two sides who care more about furthering their own political agendas.
