Dropping a video update from Rio Rancho, NM. Project Ranger is moving faster than most expected, and we want people to see it. We've been hard at work with our customers within @PAEAviation and @usarmypaefires to integrate Blackbeard, the United States most affordable hypersonic weapon, on F/A-18 and HIMARS. Last week, we signed our HOA with the Department of War for 500 Blackbeards per year, minimum, with a clear path to thousands more. The more than 200 @Castelion, @ARCOMurray, and contractor teams on site have been hard at work building the home of future Blackbeard production in @sandovalcounty. None of it happens without people in government willing to actually act on the threat in front of us. Grateful to @SecWar Hegseth, @DepSecWar Feinberg, @USWREMichael, and @USDASDuffey for setting real demand and giving companies like ours the signal to go build the Arsenal of Freedom. We’re growing fast, and we’re hiring in New Mexico. Come build something that matters. castelion.com/careers/

Congratulations to all my friends @SpaceX. Incredibly happy for everyone and you deserve this moment to shine. You’ve inspired new generations that manufacturing hard things is cool and American aerospace isn’t dead. Keep on truckin’ ad astra.

Congrats to everyone at @K2SpaceCo, great choice by @USSpaceForce.
K2 Space has been confirmed as a satellite bus provider for the @USSpaceForce Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global (PTS-G) initiative, which will launch to GEO in 2028. This announcement is a milestone for K2 as our first participation in a Pentagon program of record. Under the award announced by @USSF_SSC earlier this week, K2 will supply a satellite to our partners at @SESSpaceDefense, one of two primes on the contract. K2’s large, resilient satellites are built with the power and mass to deploy the anti-jam capabilities and consistent communications that the PTS-G constellation requires. The ability to project force, at scale, across a number of domains is the bedrock of American security. Today, I’m excited to publicly announce our partnership with @Saronic to enable an affordable approach to do exactly that at sea. Demonstration coming in 2027.
We're partnering with @Saronic to launch Blackbeard from their Marauder (MUSV), a first-of-its-kind capability. "Blackbeard and Marauder will give our warfighters more shots, from more places, with fewer constraints," said our co-founder and CEO @hargsb. At-sea demonstration targeted for 2027. Three years ago, we started working a clean sheet design for an affordabe hypersonic weapon. Now we're partnering with @Saronic to launch Blackbeard from an unmanned surface vessel, the first of many such partnerships. Excited to go offshore in 2027.

We're excited to join forces with @Castelion to integrate the Blackbeard hypersonic missile with our Marauder MUSV, demonstrating a first-of-its-kind maritime hypersonic launch capability. By pairing autonomous maritime platforms with hypersonics, we are advancing a more distributed and survivable approach to deterrence. Together, we're working to increase capability and capacity by combining autonomous maritime and hypersonic strike capabilities that are more affordable, scalable, and faster to field. With a demonstration targeted for 2027, both companies are investing in the production infrastructure needed to deliver these systems to the warfighter at greater scale and speed. They released this during peak Bricks and Minifigs drama over on YouTube. The marketing team put them in the same timeslot as the internet’s Super Bowl. There are influencers, Legos, theft, Mormons, impersonations, corrupt police, multiple arrests, fugitive immigration, RICO charges, and hours of legal analysis on the constitutional rights violations and stalking charges.

America has the best military in the world. But we can't build weapons fast enough or cheap enough to deter the threats we're facing. That gap is dangerous. Grateful to @mariogabriele and @thegeneralistco for this chat on what @Castelion is doing to solve this.
"I want to leave a safe world for my kids. This is what I got." Bryon Hargis (@hargsb) is the founder and CEO of @Castelion, a defense startup building hypersonic missiles the way SpaceX builds rockets: fast, iteratively, and cheap enough to produce in quantity.  His conviction is that America does not have a weapons problem. It has a manufacturing and learning rate problem. And that gap is more dangerous than any single technology demonstration. I'm grateful to the @DeptofWar, @DoWCTO, and @USDASDuffey for the trust they have placed in @Castelion. We are working with maximum urgency to deliver capability our Armed Forces can leverage to keep America safe.
The @DeptofWar has reached new framework agreements with a slate of disruptive new entrants to aggressively expand the United States military’s lethal cruise missile and hypersonic missile strike capabilities.   Low-Cost Containerized Missiles (LCCM) Program: • Anduril • CoAspire • Leidos • Zone 5 Low-Cost Hypersonic Missiles: • Castelion This effort positions the Department to procure 10,000 LCCMs over three years, starting in 2027. Once Castelion achieves testing and validation, the Department will award a multi-year contract for a minimum of 500 Blackbeard missiles annually, while seeking the necessary authorizations and appropriations for over 12,000 total missiles over five years. These agreements will rapidly field effective and affordable kinetic mass for the Joint Force at scale, acting directly on the mandate from President Trump and Secretary Hegseth to strengthen America’s Arsenal of Freedom.

Please do not be fooled by foreign intel agents who are "recruiting" on behalf of Castelion from non-Castelion email addresses. We've had several reports of someone going after senior military and industry officials. While the email domain name matching ours is a start, even that isn't foolproof. If the email appears to come from us you can always view the original message header and look for something similar to "dkim=pass," depending on your mail provider. Our domain signs outgoing mail and I wish email providers made this more apparent similar to the lock icon on a https website. @Castelion

We are honored to deliver this capability for the Navy and the trust you have placed in us. Our success has only been made possible by the incredible partnership with the Warfare Centers, NAVAIR, OPNAV N98 and others, within and outside of the Navy. We wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you!
The @USNavy has awarded @Castelion a $105M contract to integrate Blackbeard, the Navy's first air-launched hypersonic strike weapon, onto the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. We're grateful for the trust the @DeptofWar has placed in our team and are committed to delivering Blackbeard to the Warfighter on the timeline American deterrence demands. The urgency to reach scaled production is real as @MorganLBrennan pointed out. Appreciate bringing us on to discuss the importance of hypersonics manufacturing. Thank you as well to our other major investors @generalcatalyst and @LavrockVC who has supported us from the beginning.
Thanks to @SquawkCNBC for hosting our CEO & Co-Founder @hargsb. He outlined how Castelion is closing the deterrence gap and why scaling hypersonic manufacturing matters. We’re building the largest hypersonic manufacturing facility at our 1,000-acre Project Ranger site in New Mexico, backed by @AltimeterCap, @lightspeedvp, @a16z, and other great partners.
