Today marks a major step forward in accelerating AI capabilities directly to the Joint Force. We have finalized agreements with eight of America’s top AI model and infrastructure companies to deploy frontier AI capabilities on the War Department’s classified networks.   Our brave warriors deserve an unequivocal and unfair decision advantage on the battlefield, and the Department’s agreements with SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, NVIDIA, Reflection, Microsoft, AWS, and Oracle help deliver exactly that.   We will continue to operate on a wartime footing to accelerate and scale these frontier AI capabilities, because our warfighters deserve nothing less.

By the way, public service announcement: if you're one of the numerous people posting about Anthropic's dystopian ways and you're thinking about getting Claude to help you write that post... don't! Another one of their terms is that you may not use Claude to do anything that "exposes [Anthropic to] reputational harms" 👇 And, if you do, under the - extremely unusual - clause 13 of their terms (anthropic.com/legal/consumer…), you have PRE-AGREED, by using Anthropic (and accepted their terms), that the harm you've done is irreparable, that you won't oppose Anthropic injunction, and they don't need to prove actual damage. They can simply go to a judge in a friendly jurisdiction (and of course, their terms precise that any dispute "will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California") and: a) file an injunction that shuts you down b) make you pay for everything since under section 11 of their terms you agree to indemnify Anthropic for "any and all liabilities, claims, damages, expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs), and other losses arising out of or related to your breach or alleged breach of these Terms." In other words, if you use Claude to help you talk shit about Anthropic publicly, their terms say you pay their lawyers to go after you and you've already pre-agreed you've lost the case. Oh, and cherry on the cake: in the odd case the judge were like "are you crazy, this is insanely abusive, you Anthropic are the ones at fault here," according to their terms Anthropic's maximum liability is... $100.

Yesterday’s historic @USNavy rescue in the Strait of Hormuz is a direct result of DIU’s Production-Ready, Inexpensive, Maritime Expeditionary (PRIME) Small Unmanned Surface Vehicle (sUSV) program. The Saronic Corsair used in the operation was developed through DIU’s competitive PRIME sUSV solicitation, which successfully prototyped, validated and delivered mission-ready vehicles to the Navy in under 15 months. Validation of production readiness was executed in just four months. The delivery speed was 50% to 70% faster than legacy acquisition approaches, which previously took more than six years. This vehicle is one of many that have been deployed by the Navy into real-world environments. DIU is committed to using autonomous technology across domains to get our warfighters out of harm’s way. thehill.com/policy/defense/5…

I feel like we all got the same treatment from Anthropic that the DoW got in Feb. I viscerally understand the DoW reaction now.

Two US aviators went down near the Strait of Hormuz. DoW used an autonomous @Saronic Corsair to find and bring them home - the 1st drone rescue at sea in military history. This is why we build: to keep our troops safe. This was science fiction. American builders made it real 🇺🇸.

It’s been an honor working with @sriramk over the last year. He is a friend, a patriot and a credit to the country.
🇺🇸🚀 SOME NEWS: I'll be leaving my role at the White House at the end of this month. After a break I’ll be working on helping tackle some of the large challenges facing America on AI (more on that later). It is hard to express how big a privilege it has been to serve the American people and how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to do so. First and foremost, it has been an honor to serve under President @realDonaldTrump . Without his leadership, we would not be leading in the AI race. Second, I owe a lot to the person I’ve worked mostly closely with over the last 18 months - @DavidSacks . His continuing advocacy for America winning on AI has been and continues to be crucial. Some key public accomplishments from last year I’m proud of 1. Architecting and publishing the American AI Action Plan - charting the course for America to win on AI and helping execute on that for the last year. 2. The AI acceleration partnerships to help American AI stack win globally. 3. The National AI Policy Framework for Artificial Intelligence executive order (forming the basis for working with the Hill this year) 4. Advocating for the American AI stack with our allies globally (the AI summits in France and India, state visits to the UK, the Middle East and more) So what’s next? The past 18 months have given me a front row seat to this critical moment on AI facing America and our allies. Whether it is energy, data centers or a clear path for Americans to experience the benefits of AI, there are many tough issues we all need to navigate together. I plan on building institutions that help tackle some of those challenges for America and its allies. I want to thank many others who have helped along the way in the administration : Kevin Hassett, @mkratsios47 , CoS @SusieWiles47 , VP @JDVance , @StevenCheung47 , Sec Bessent, Sec Lutnick, Sec Rubio and @jacobhelberg , @USWREMichael , Josh Gruenbaum, Watson Fagan, Ryan Baasch, Jeff Kessler, Alexei Bulazel, DepSec Landau, DepSec Dabar, Will Scharf, Taylor Budowich, @JamesBlairUSA , @elonmusk and many, many others. You know who you are and I know I’ll continue to see you a lot more. Most of all, I want to thank @aarthir on supporting everything and being part of this unexpected but amazing journey from last January. None of this would be possible without her. This journey has been the privilege of a lifetime and shown me how special this country is and how it needs all of us to contribute in anyway we can - and I plan on continuing to do just that. 🇺🇸

Omaha Beach, 2017 French guide: I am guessing you are military, and that your sons will be. This cynical article reflects detachment from the values of military families. Visiting Normandy is not extravagance but a transmission of tribute, toll and duty across generations.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s decision to bring six of his children on an official trip to France is putting added strain on his personal protective detail amid heightened threats stemming from the Iran war. wapo.st/4dRdLgG

.@elonmusk is a patriot who loves America, & @SpaceX has been a good-faith partner of the War Department.
The Department of War is proud to work with @SpaceX and will continue collaborating in support of America’s national security. These baseless attacks are nothing more than tabloid garbage.

The Fake News media has the story wrong, again. @SpaceX remains a strong and valued partner to the Department of War. The claims in this article are simply not based in reality and do not reflect the close, effective collaboration between our teams.

Dropping a video update from Rio Rancho, NM. Project Ranger is moving faster than most expected, and we want people to see it. We've been hard at work with our customers within @PAEAviation and @usarmypaefires to integrate Blackbeard, the United States most affordable hypersonic weapon, on F/A-18 and HIMARS. Last week, we signed our HOA with the Department of War for 500 Blackbeards per year, minimum, with a clear path to thousands more. The more than 200 @Castelion, @ARCOMurray, and contractor teams on site have been hard at work building the home of future Blackbeard production in @sandovalcounty. None of it happens without people in government willing to actually act on the threat in front of us. Grateful to @SecWar Hegseth, @DepSecWar Feinberg, @USWREMichael, and @USDASDuffey for setting real demand and giving companies like ours the signal to go build the Arsenal of Freedom. We’re growing fast, and we’re hiring in New Mexico. Come build something that matters. castelion.com/careers/

Many people don't understand the scale @SecWar is demanding. The United States has built less than 40,000 cruise missiles, ever, since the Army asked the Dayton-Wright Company to manufacture an Aerial Torpedo in 1917. The more time passes, the fewer we make and the more they cost. Leaders like DepSecWar Feinberg and @USWREMichael are actually responding to foreign threats and giving clear demand signal that is bringing billions of dollars of private capital into solving this problem. Now America will manufacture more cruise missiles in the next three years than the last 30 years combined, at a fraction of the cost. We are in the middle of hiring for Barracuda production at Arsenal-1 starting later this year, please hit us up if this mission is one you can be passionate about.
"This framework agreement will have us building 1000 rounds a year for the next three years... This administration, credit goes to them. They're actually putting their money where their mouth is... They're funding these kinds of capabilities to get them to the warfighter faster." - Chris Brose (@cdbrose), Anduril President and Chief Strategy Officer on @FoxBusiness @Varneyco
