We spotted a problem early in product design: many AI travel planners generate itineraries that look perfect on screen, but break in real life. The miss is usually the same plans optimize for narrative smoothness, not real-world constraints like closures, timing, transfers, reservations. Our turning point was realizing this isn’t a prompt problem. It’s a system problem. So we built a web agent to verify before planning: checking official sites, validating locations and hours, and pulling live data. The model runs in a constraint-aware framework, assumptions explicit, fallbacks ready, turning screen-perfect itineraries into reality-ready plans. #BuildingAIInTheRealWorld #iMeanAI #AIAgents

We didn’t reduce hallucinations in our AI trip planner by making the model smarter. We reduced them by taking decisions away from the model.

The biggest shift was forcing verification before reasoning. Planning became a process: intent → data → constraints → validation. Free-form generation doesn’t survive real-world travel.

Hallucinations don’t disappear, they repeat. Feedback loops and memory mattered more than any prompt tweak. Real-world planning needs systems, not just language models. #BuildingAIInTheRealWorld #AI

We made a wrong assumption early on building our AI trip planner. We thought: “scrape enough travel sites and you’re done.” (Our first product was a web agent.) Reality disagreed. Local closures, missing routes, long-tail details — none of it was there. That failure forced us to rethink how AI should reason, not just retrieve. This eventually became our Anchor framework. #BuildingAIInTheRealWorld #AI #iMeanAI

Multi-city itineraries don’t fail on ideas, they fail on sequence, transit, timing, and pace. If a planner only lists attractions, it’s not planning, it’s formatting. The real standard is executability: route optimization, distance-aware scheduling, and verification to reduce hallucinations. Are AI travel tools optimizing for “looks good” or “works in reality”? #iMeanAI #AITravelTool #AIPlanner #LLM #AITripPlanner #AITravelPlanner imean.ai/blog/articles/the-b…

Most AI travel tools recommend places. Few explain how they feel. Testing neighborhood choices with AI showed that when vibe, noise, transit, and daily rhythm are clear, decisions get much easier. That’s where AI becomes useful. #AITripPlanning #iMeanAI #WhereToStay #TravelAI imean.ai/blog/articles/can-a…

AI flight search is entering a new era: traditional engines win on real-time price accuracy and speed for fixed routes, while AI flight finders win on flexibility—scanning alternate airports, date ranges, split tickets, and mixed-carrier combinations to surface options filters often miss. The most effective way to book is using the right tool for the trip type: precision when plans are locked, exploration when savings matter. #CheapFlights #TravelTech #AI #TravelHacks #Flights imean.ai/blog/articles/ai-fl…
