The “usual suspects” are upset that I included footage of a Confederate memorial in Marianna in my announcement video for Florida Governor.
Let me be crystal clear: Confederate soldiers were fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons. They hailed from towns like Marianna and Madison throughout the Panhandle.
They are part of Florida’s story because they were Floridians.
As Governor, I will protect every Confederate statue and monument, and I will never let anyone erase their names from history.
