#CovidIsAirborne, & almost 60% of transmission is from the symptomless infected people all around you. That’s why we need masks AT LEAST in healthcare!

"Life-span altering vascular disease," is very possibly the most accurate description I've seen.
If one person think SARS-CoV-2 means "common cold", and another person knows COVID-19 is a life-span altering vascular disease, we are living in two very different realities my friend

#Austin is an island in a sea of COVlD
PMC Update, June 8, 2026 The CDC reports COVlD levels are "Very Low" across the US. PMC estimates 1 in 300 Americans actively infectious. BUT there's an outbreak in Central/East Texas. We estimate ≈1 in 30 residents in key counties are infectious. Video 👇 THREAD 1/3 🧵

I just took my parents in memory care to get their covid and pneumonia vax bec I’m concerned about a surge before the memory care facility’s vaccine clinic in Sept. Does anyone know if Medicare will pay for them to get boosted 3 months from now in the Sept clinic as well?

Replying to @WIRED
This story is laundering a bunch of RFK adjacent pseudoscience. It’s embarrassing that WIRED would publish something like this. As a journalist who has covered grifters and medical misinfo for years I’m appalled.

Do you like how earloop respirators look, but not their seal quality? Worn as-is, an earloop has only one anchor point. It may test well on static exercises, but not with motion. I found and tested a unique ear saver design that mimics a headstrap's two anchor points.

CDC RISK LEVEL: VERY LOW CDC says there is very low to no risk to the public at this time. ** **unless you run into the passengers of the Ebola flights who we released into your community, then the risk is very high, but otherwise you’re good though.

Yes, Ebola is airborne because we don’t have “droplets” without some of them being aerosolized. However, focusing on this may cause ppl to ignore the main mechanism of infection, which is droplets/aerosols landing on skin & mucous membranes. An N95 is NOT ENOUGH PROTECTION.

You sure about that? It’s not hard to believe, based on what I’ve observed these past few years…

First plate is done. No Hanta, no Ebola. Flu season is over, and COVID is 100-times lower than it has been. The only respiratory viruses on the rise are Rhinoviruses and Parainfluenzavirus 3, but they always surge in late Spring and I have no idea why.
2 more Novaseq 25B plates about to finish. 55 wastewater samples, ~30 million people, 3 coasts. Before anyone asks - yes, we would be able to detect Ebola Bundibugyo. If it has an RNA or DNA genome, we can detect it. afro.who.int/countries/democ…

What the heck… a “ship cough” was going around and then people started dropping like flies? But somehow that “ship cough” illness is deemed to be “unrelated”???
Some of these people in US quarantine already had their illness, according to the Dr who tested “faintly" positive and is now negative. I hope they won't have long term effects, but this guy mentioned his heart beating “too fast" during his 20 min exercise session.

Spoke to the only American who tested positive for hantavirus (he’s in biocontainment unit). Of significant note: He & others on ship had illness w/night sweats, chills, & fatigue (fatigue lasted 2.5wks) after interacting only socially w/patient zero.

If a pathogen is framed as ‘droplet spread,’ responsibility shifts toward individual behavior and surface hygiene. If it’s acknowledged as airborne, responsibility shifts toward ventilation, filtration, building standards, workplace safety, and public infrastructure. The distinction is strictly theatrical for the actor’s convenience.
