he wanted a reason to go outside so he built an app where you claim real territory on a map just by running through it
every street you run on becomes yours. your neighborhood turns into your turf, but other runners can take it from you by running the same streets
imagine runners waking up at 4am just to claim their blocks before anyone else does
the territory mechanic is what makes this different from every other running tracker because it gives you a reason to care about your next run, not just the one you just finished
if this idea is executed and marketed correctly it'll blow up on the app store
most fitness apps try to motivate you with stats and streaks, but this one actually motivates you with competition over real streets in your actual city

Complete rework of the UI. Personally, I love dark mode, however, Iβm working towards three tones for the UI. After sign up users can choose between this current UI, then an upcoming sepia, and light.
Iβm thinking bigger than ever with this, and the best part is I canβt fail. At no point is it not worth building this and learning in the process. Itβd already helped my current job, I added a map to display businesses.

I made an app where people can spend Sabbath together, but what it's turned into is a public display of my Sabbath activities. I still think the concept is worth tinkering with. I've learned so much while building this. @obviceo made such a good point about how you can learn things on side projects that you can never learn from the main gig. You can test things you would never test on your main domain.
