Former deputy PM John Manley: We used to always refer to the president of the United States as the leader of the free world. Donald Trump is not the leader of anything other than about the 37% of Americans that still support him. If anything, intellectually at least, Mark Carney has become the leader of the free world, the countries that believe in democracy and the rule of law.

🚨 Pakistan has published what it claims are the key terms of the U.S.-Iran agreement:
➡️ U.S. sanctions on Iran would be lifted.
➡️ Frozen Iranian funds would be partially released.
➡️ A ceasefire would take effect across all fronts, alongside an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon.
➡️ Iran’s uranium stockpile and nuclear facilities would remain inside Iran.
➡️ A $300 billion compensation fund would be established for Iran.
➡️ The U.S. embargo on Iran would be removed.
➡️ Iran would assume responsibility for managing the Strait of Hormuz and collecting transit fees.
The terms are unconfirmed by Washington or Tehran.

Lots of conservatives keep coming back to the residential school graves story. They see the lack of remains (so far) as a victory.
I ask them: what about the children who were actually, inarguably taken from their families and put in those schools? Isn't that scandal enough?
