Tomorrow, together with our partners, we will be hosting an awards ceremony for the Digital Onboarding and Empowerment pilot phase, a moment dedicated to recognizing and rewarding boda boda riders for actively participating in the training programme.
We will be giving away brand-new Simba motorcycles, smartphones, helmets, engine oil, and motorcycle chargers to riders who were selected through a raffle draw on Monday. The raffle draw was conducted fairly and transparently in the presence of boda boda leaders and other representatives from the boda boda community from various divisions.
The awards represent more than just prizes; they are a celebration of the riders' commitment to learning, embracing digital transformation, and investing in their personal and professional growth.
Throughout the programme, riders gained valuable knowledge in digital literacy, financial management, road safety, mental wellness, and the opportunities available within the digital economy.
We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the riders and the collective impact of this initiative as we continue working towards a more empowered, connected, and future-ready boda boda community.

We successfully concluded a 3-day stakeholder engagement and training review in Kampala at Eureka Place, Ntinda, bringing together 50 boda boda leaders from Kampala, Mukono, and Wakiso.
The engagement ended with a raffle draw, which was conducted fairly and transparently in the presence of boda boda leaders and other representatives from the boda boda community from various divisions.
The winners will receive brand-new motorcycles, helmets, smartphones, and motorcycle phone chargers during the official closing ceremony of the Digital Onboarding and Empowerment pilot phase on June 17.
We are grateful to all the leaders who attended and witnessed the process, as we continue building trust, transparency, and meaningful impact within the boda boda sector.

One of the most encouraging aspects of the onboarding and digital empowerment program has been seeing more women actively participating in the boda boda industry. Their presence is a powerful reminder that the sector is evolving, breaking long-held stereotypes and demonstrating that women can thrive not only as riders but also as leaders and entrepreneurs within the transport ecosystem.

This week, together with our partners, UCC, UCUSAF, Ministry of ICT, Simba Automotives, and Wendi, we successfully concluded our Digital Onboarding and Empowerment training across Rubaga, Makindye, and Central Divisions.
In total, we trained 1,306 boda boda riders: 573 in Rubaga, 450 in Makindye, and 283 in Central, including 100 women. The sessions equipped riders with practical digital knowledge to help them participate more confidently in Uganda's fast-paced digital economy.
