If a newspaper cannot explain that PIP is a disability benefit rather than an unemployment benefit, it is failing at the most basic level of reporting. The public deserves accurate information, not misleading framing.
PIP benefits set to be overhauled to push young claimants into work trib.al/0Obwd5z

PIP is not an out-of-work benefit. By helping people with essential activities and extra costs, PIP can help disabled people to access work. gov.uk/pip

There are now fewer jobs in the UK than just the people under 25 looking for work. But the job crisis will be ignored, instead it's Disable People's fault for not working jobs that don't exist.

Vine punching down on disabled again, and Kirsty is the worst type of abelist, gets disability benefits but knows loads that shouldn't, does she have their medical records
"I'm profoundly disabled, under palliative care, my husband is my carer, and we have struggled." "I know people who get paid the same as me, and they have nothing wrong with them." 📞 Kirsty says the benefits system is too easy to game. @theJeremyVine | #JeremyVine

I'm so very scared. Not only is LCWRA & PIP my only income, my only possible income, but my beloved is now having some serious health issues too. And the government want us dead.
PIP as gateway will push hundreds of thousands of ill/disabled into POVERTY not work At least 23% will fail to qualify for ANY extra financial support Outcome is known: LCW (ill/disabled) & Standard UC (fit for work) get £494.90 pcm Into-work rates: LCW: 2% Standard UC: 7.9%

any housing minister worth their salt would do away with the whole notion of “intentionally homeless”. councils and local authorities abuse it so much, (illegally) designating people intentionally homeless when they decline unsuitable accommodation as below. it gives councils…
Please Share 🙏🏽🚨 A man with *STAGE 4* Incurable Brain Tumour is being forced to move onto the 15th floor of a Tower block or make himself intentionally homeless. He has mobility issues from chemo and his doctors have previously written to Thurrock council.

What a surprise. Reform lying about the disabled population in order to try and get more of the public to target them
Just heard this idiot on the radio discussing disability benefits, he claimed you can get them with a quick appt with your GP,a quick letter or email or a 10min call with DWP and DWP knows there is massive fraud, lies lies lies, is it any wonder disability hate is increasing

.@LindsayHoyle_MP Dear Sir Lindsay, Helen Whately is misleading the House. No one EVER got a Motability car for tennis elbow or acne. She presents no evidence because there is none. She is lying to whip up hatred of disabled people. Please refer her to the Privileges Committee.

No more Fit Notes (saved my husband's life TWICE) Retirement age up again. Trying to sneak in Assisted Dying again. Cutting disability benefits. Life expectancy down for the first time since WW2. Scapegoating the disabled and ill. @UKLabour has been hijacked by saboteurs.

You are vile Pat and should be ashamed for joining Starmer and Nigel with attacking the disabled population It’s pretty clear you lot are desperate to make disabled people’s lives harder… all while trying to fast track assisted suicide
We have worked closely with GPs to see how we can reform the fit note system. The idea is to get real help to people to help with underlying medical conditions. And we want to test all this properly to get it right. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy82…

It doesn't. It never has. This is more hatemongering about disabled people to reduce empathy for them so there is less uproar when the govt attempts to introduce further cuts they know will result in the deaths and suffering of the disabled. It is propaganda for social murder.

The fact that the government is so set on making life harder for those who are disabled while wanting euthanasia to be rushed in, is quite telling. I’m not against people being able to go on their own terms. What I am against is introducing it at a time where the government is
GPs in England will no longer issue “sick notes” in NHS trials to reduce the number of people signed off work Occupational therapists and “social prescribers” who recommend job coaching and therapy like exercise or gardening will be used instead to draw up stay in work plans

So set on punishing people for being disabled A country cannot ethically introduce it while also targeting those with disabilities and removing resources

This is bullshit, I’m currently in hospital and have been for 4 weeks. I came in through ambulance Two days before I had tried to get help via a&e and was sent home with a cyst diagnosis on the opposite side of my pain. Turns out it’s not a cyst and if I had stayed home I
Under Labour, NHS waiting lists are falling, ambulances are arriving faster, there are more GPs, and higher patient satisfaction. Lots done, lots to do. The Health Bill will boost the impact of our investment and modernisation: cutting bureaucracy to invest in patient care.
Community note
"While the waiting list has started to go down, unreported removals have gone up (Figure 3). In fact, they have repeatedly outnumbered the additional incomplete referrals that join the waiting list every month." nuffieldtrust.org.uk/news-item/why-…

Would be screwed. I’m also not the only one to be wrongly sent home only to then be told I need a ambulance two days later

You will never be cleared of turning your back on the most vulnerable though. Your own son is disabled yet you voted to cut disability benefits by 50%.
I welcome HMRC’s conclusion, which has cleared me of any wrongdoing. I have been exonerated by HMRC of the accusation that I deliberately sought to avoid tax. When purchasing a home of my own with a mortgage, I did not own any other property and had no personal financial interest in the court-instructed trust set up to manage my son’s financial award. I was advised by experts that I should pay stamp duty at the standard rate. I set out to pay the correct amount of tax. I took reasonable care and acted in good faith, based on the expert advice I received, and HMRC has accepted this. I have always sought to act with integrity, and I believe politicians should be held to high standards - that is why I resigned from government and cooperated fully with HMRC.  I wanted to ensure that I paid every penny that I owed, and have done so. I am relieved that my family can now move on - and that I can get on with my job.

Isn’t it odd the one procedure which could had helped me is now not going ahead and I’ve been told suddenly there’s nothing that can help? Tell me for nearly a year I could get the procedure which could allow me to work more but then suddenly say it’s too complex

So if anyone has any issue with me getting PIP payment due to being physically disabled, please take it up with the doctors and boards deciding me becoming even more disabled is ideal over a surgery
