Will govt & @activetraveleng be ordering a review of LTNs thru’ the lens of social justice/recommending removal of any that create a hostile environment for those living,working,cycling,walking, using buses etc on surrounding roads due to traffic displacement from LTN streets?

Is it intelligent to create increasingly hostile environments on residential roads surrounding LTNs by diverting traffic from LTN streets onto them? I think not.

The organisation representing blind people that has done more than any other to highlight the injustice of floating bus stops was pointedly ignored by SoS @Heidi_Labour as part of the consultation process on floating bus stops. It’s easy to see why.

This is a must-watch from Ediz. He convincingly shows that the claimed evaporation is false because the equipment used doesn't measure slow-moving traffic. We are being misled.

The ‘Cycling experts’ are the ones that got us into this mess: “Cycling experts suspect the growing number of injuries may be more linked to the city running out of cycling infrastructure capacity rather than the greater use of e-bikes.”

Let me translate: -Engineered and deliberate congestion created on roads - badly designed cycle lanes which make no sense -more cyclists breaking laws with impunity -more zombie pedestrians starting at phones wondering into roads - LTNs no resident wants but they’ll be ignored anyway after thousands spent on performative consultations Congrats Heidi, you’re taking what you did in London to new national lows.

OMG! Some bloke from Lab actually hastily put a leaflet through my door late this afternoon. What a laugh! Sheila S-R is not an advocate for Hackney Central - just for the UMC folk inside LTNs. We REJECTED a her in May & will reject her in June. Vote Lib Dems for a change.

@katherinedunne Hi Katherine, were you aware there had been such a large increase in serious cycle injuries since @Willnorman had been appointed and that cycling was getting less safe?

If @WillNorman wants to be transparent on cyclist safety he would publish 1. The number of Killed and Serious injuries (KSI) for 2025 (1196); 2. a chart showing the numbers over the last 20 years and 3. a chart showing the risk per journey or Km over the last 20 years. And maybe how much this has all cost!

Will, this is deflection to try to hide the fact that TfL has been found out as being less than open about cycle casualties. It is a classic tactic to try to undermine two of your accusers. You know fine that neither Vincent nor I are 'anti-cycling '

There is nothing in this article about any correlation between the fall in congestion in London and LTNs. In fact, LTNs are not even mentioned. YOU HAVE SIMPLY MADE THIS UP.

If there’s anywhere that shows the devastating effects of LTNs, it’s Hackney Central. Yet, there’s no mention from this Labour candidate about the unprecedented traffic levels on Roads like Graham Road. Shameful.
