This little girl from Ridglan doesn't understand freedom yet. She's confused by open space after life in a cage. But she already understands love. They all do. And love is exactly what she and the 2000 other pups are going to get!

Sometimes when we rescue dogs, it really is a life-or-death situation and that's very much the case for this tiny little girl who got reported to us yesterday. At first locals and the authorities told us that she had been poisoned so it was her race to empty her stomach and try and keep her alive. The team had been battling for the last 24 hours and it was very much touch and go. Today we've seen some amazing progress and her first tail wag! She's been undergoing a series of tests to eliminate any possible poisons and she's also been analyzed on her brain. Whatever happened, this dog has definitely had a massive trauma but she seems to be just about through the worst of it. It's way too early for her to regain use of her limbs yet but it was good to see that she was able to lift her head today at least. This is very much a dog who wants to live and wants to get better but her body just won't let her yet. There is so much fight left in her though. I called her Espresso because she looked dark with a little hint of coffee on her and then I thought I'd give her her full name of Espresso Martini 🍸 ☕️ I would say her road to recovery will take weeks but the medical team are hopeful after her first 24 hours of progress that there might just be a future for this beautiful little girl ❤️🤞

An Israeli firm has interfered in elections in Scotland, New York, France, Angola and Togo, using large numbers of fake social media accounts to target politicians who have criticised Israel’s genocide in Gaza, French authorities have found. France’s disinformation watchdog, Viginum, said a private, Israel-based company named BlackCore had coordinated hundreds of accounts to post negative comments about Scottish first minister John Swinney in the run-up to the Scottish parliament elections in May. Swinney is one of the few UK politicians to have described Israel’s mass killings in Gaza as a genocide, saying last year that “it can’t be disputed”. He also led a ban on arms companies receiving financial aid if they supply Israel's military. Viginum said Swinney, the ruling Scottish National Party (SNP) and the devolved government in Edinburgh were targeted between 6 January and 8 May, with BlackCore using at least 256 coordinated accounts to post around 1,400 comments. Swinney was targeted 652 times, the SNP 338 and the Scottish government 112. An SNP spokesperson said: “Over the course of the Scottish election campaign, the SNP observed that posts across our social media platforms were subject to an unprecedented level of negative reactions and comments from accounts which appeared to be AI-generated bots.” “Any interference in our democratic process must be thoroughly investigated,” they added.
