We experienced an anomaly during today's hotfire test. All personnel have been accounted for. We will provide updates as we learn more.

Can't stop thinking about Elon Musk, the wealthiest man alive worth $828 billion, spending $290 million to elect Trump, becoming $563 billion richer since Trump was elected and ending humanitarian aid that will lead to the deaths of 4.5 million of the poorest kids on the planet.

“The country is becoming ungovernable...” The Times's Matthew Syed says constant leadership speculation is making it harder for Prime Ministers to make tough choices. #Newsnight

There's an interesting bit in Louis Theroux's chat with Alan Carr on crisis management. Carr said: "As soon as you become involved in the conversation, it's over for you." And there is no finer example of that working in practice than with Labour/ Mandelson vs Farage/ £5mill
Victoria Derbyshire spend 8 minutes taking apart Nigel Farage's £5,000,000 gift "As you'd expect we asked Reform UK for an interview tonight. One Reform UK press officer asked: with who and to discuss what" "We said we'd like to talk about the local elections, the detention centres in Green areas, and £5m gift from Christopher Harborne" "We didn't receive another reply"

This is absolutely insane: By 2:10 PM ET today, the S&P 500, $SPY, $675 strike calls had fallen to a low of $0.02 per contract, effectively worthless. Then, at 3:20 PM ET, President Trump said the Iran war is "very complete," sending the S&P 500 soaring. By 3:30 PM ET, 10 minutes later, these same calls were trading at $4.95 per contract, up 24,650%. In other words, $1,000 invested in these calls at 2:10 PM ET was worth $247,500 just 80 minutes later. We are witnessing historic volatility.

FIFA Peace Prize winner up to his old tricks!
CNN's Dana Bash reports on a conversation she just had with Trump: "He quickly turned to Cuba. He said without being asked, 'Cuba is going to fall pretty soon.'"

Is there something vaguely... entitled, about a man who gets into his chauffeur driven car with pristine white leather seats after a day in police custardy... and reclines his seat?
Just when you think this story can't get any better, it produces one of the best pics of all time.

CCHQ apparently chipper tonight, I’m told. As the polls close, they’re “utterly convinced” Susan Hall has won New York City. Strong health warning but it would be a monumental upset.

"Hobbits in Hertfordshire are getting raped because hard men aren't protecting them from the dangers of the world." Taken verbatim from the nuttiest man on the planet 👇
I actually live in a small English village. It’s total codswallop what @elonmusk is saying. We’re not “hobbits under siege” we’re ordinary people - how rude to patronise us like this. It’s fear-mongering dressed up as folklore.
