Last week there was a video going viral w/ @DeionSanders talking to his team about being lazy w/ academics. Last week I was informed that a former teammate of mine, who was apparently homeless, died from liver failure. For ANY YOUNG ATHLETES watching this video - I cannot stress ENOUGH how important it is to take advantage of the resources & support around you while you have it. This game fucking ends for all of us. I hope you all play your game for a long time but you are absolutely hurting yourself if you don’t take advantage of the position you’re currently in to grow yourself for a life after your days are done. Life will humble you. And it will be the fundamental skills & education you equip yourself w/ that will carry you forward. Legit can’t preach this message enough.

5 Exercises to Lower Your 60-Yard Dash ⏰ 1. Hill Sprints Hill sprints will help you run in the correct form of acceleration and improve force application with each foot strike. 2. Flying Sprints Great drill for developing max-velocity with athletes. This drill teaches athlete to go faster and maintain maximal speed for a longer duration. 3. Heavy Sled Drags Heavy sled drags allow you to learn and practice acceleration mechanics at slower speeds. To perform this exercise properly you need to posses a good forward body lean, and maintain a positive shin angle. 4. Dynamic Skips Skips are one of the BEST ways to improve knee drive, dynamic ankle stability, arm drive, posture, ground contact time, and rhythm - many factors that contribute to fast and explosive athletes. 5. Max-Effort Sprints with Complete Recovery To run fast you need to do just that, run fast. Sprint intensity should be 95% on each sprint if you’re trying to get faster. Additionally, you need to be recovering fully following each sprint! Rest 60 sec. every 10 yards covered.

Derrick White had 0 Division 1 offers out of high school. He started his college career as a D2 walk on. You can get caught up in rankings, who is or isn’t recruiting you, or you can just keep getting better. If you’re good, basketball will find you, and your time will come.

You grow from year to year and learn how better yourself & your team. I’ve always set off-season goals and points of emphasis of things to focus on (along with my coaches). Looking back at last year, your point rings true. If people are going to tackle me low most of the time, I’ve got to work on coming out of those. Knee drive and other techniques have been a huge focus for me this off-season and something I’m hoping on translating into this year on the field. I’m constantly growing and evolving as a player, one thing I can guarantee is as long as I play I won’t ever get complacent or satisfied with good enough. There is always room for improvement and things to work on. With that being said, understand me just like everyone else in the NFL are working to enhance our skill set. As a fan of football myself, I’d take each season with a grain of salt and understand that the players you’re talking about watch the same film and tape x1000 more and are more than focused on taking their game to the next level. Nothing but love for all of Packers faithful. Just a reminder that everyone’s working to get better! ❤️❤️ #GoPackGo . (Also it’s hard to tell tone through text- this is by no means a defensive or attacking message towards anyone. Just my two cents. Take it or leave it- it’s all love ❤️)

Honestly, use it for a team bonding event. Take the boys out and go somewhere they wouldn’t see at home.

Football players: if you were your coach and you had $1,000 to spend on your team, what would you buy? (specific equipment, multi media system, recruiting tools, graphics, etc). My job is to provide these solutions to coaches! @travisWSN #football #highschoolfootball

As an athlete, the only people who truly understand what you go through mentally and emotionally are your fellow athletes. Therefore, you need to lean on each other for support.
