🟡 Operation “Returning Home” The returning hostages, Eitan Mor, Alon Ohel, Ziv Berman, Gali Berman, Guy Gilboa-Dalal, Omri Miran and Matan Angrest, accompanied by IDF and ISA forces, crossed the border into the State of Israel a short while ago. They are currently on their way to the initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will reunite with their families. The IDF is prepared to receive additional hostages who are expected to be transferred to the Red Cross later on.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה ה' אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים.

Israel has been awake all night lining the streets ready to receive the hostages. A whole nation waiting to breathe again. A whole people who never leave one family member behind. Let the Jewish people show you who we are. A light unto the world. A resilience that doesn’t falter. We know who stood by us for two years, and who contributed to the hatred. How long is everyone going to keep pretending it’s about Israel?

Holocaust survivor Moshe Ridler z"L was murdered by Hamas on October 7th. Moshe was born in Romania, but in 1941, his family was forced on a 300-kilometer death march to the Romanchi ghetto, which claimed the lives of his mother and his 15-year-old sister. Separated from his family a few months later, Moshe escaped from the ghetto in the middle of the night with a group of older boys. Only after the war was he reunited with his father and eldest sister, who miraculously survived. In 1951, he made Aliyah to Israel. At age 90, Moshe moved to Kibbutz Holit in the south to live near his daughter. At age 92, Moshe was murdered in his home by Hamas. His caretaker, Petru Boscov z”l, was also killed, leaving behind three young children. This Yom HaShoah, say an extra prayer for Moshe, who was murdered by the same antisemitism he escaped all those years ago.
