I have a friend in Portland—a smart, funny, disabled writer who needs to fill a GREAT live-in position as a personal helper/home manager. She needs someone URGENTLY. No experience required. FREE RENT. Can you help me get the word out? We created an ad: liveinhelperpdx.com/

I appreciate NY State translating their messages in Spanish but when you do a worse job than Google Translate, it feels insulting and that you really don’t care.

I was always hesitant of visiting LA just because I don’t want to drive or take a Lyft everywhere. @adamconover gives me hope of visiting that city for the first time.
Here's the story of why I quit driving and became a full-time bus boy.

There’s a car outside my door that has been idling for at least 30 min. I will not get tired of saying: the gas is still very cheap.

Around fifteen researchers and critics have annotated @kevinroose's thinly-veiled cryptocurrency advertisement that ran in the @nytimes last Sunday. We try to provide the editorial scrutiny and critical perspectives that the piece so irresponsibly lacked. mollywhite.net/annotations/l…

Love this graphic. All the “progressive environmentalists” out there enamored w electric cars need to keep in mind that “EVs” only help us with the cost you can see above the water. H/t @Reddit @velomuerto

So excited for what came in the mail this morning! I was waiting for @flipper_net so much but also they are the startup with the best communication team ever! They told us all their issues with absolute transparency and professionalism. Respect.

The team at @NY1noticias made me an interview in Spanish and roughly I said that “Installing barriers in some bike lanes in Manhattan & Queens is a good first step but Grand St is a main east-west corridor in Brooklyn that needs protection NOW” ny1noticias.com/nyc/noticias…

“They're plowing energy into something that's just a make-believe currency,” says local wine-maker Richard Rainey, protesting a natural gas plant powering a bitcoin mining operation in Dresden, NY. “We're here planting vineyards, caring for the land.” gothamist.com/news/bitcoin-m…

Seeing this graph from @NYCMayor proposed budget presentation makes me 🙄. This is such an outrageous misguided representation of data, it should be called out everywhere. Is presented to fill their narrative and not to reflect reality.

We are so proud to present the first video in our #MakeMcGuinnessSafe Community Voices campaign. First up is longtime NBK activist and our NYS Assemblymember @EmilyAssembly who has been fighting for change on McGuinness and safe streets for all for over a decade!

We’ve talked a lot about how we are fighting to make Matt Jensen’s death the last death on #McGuinness. But did you know the name of the first? (thread)

I don’t understand why would anyone consider this normal. The reason we can’t have sidewalks is because a minority don’t want to pay for parking.

Sure, blame the outdoor restaurants for the rats while you have LITERALLY mountains of trash in the sidewalks.
