We lost a legend today. A true icon. Chuck Norris (1940-2026) has been an inspiration to me my whole life. He was always serving others, from honoring veterans (he also served in the Air Force from 1958-1962, where he discovered martial arts) to countless Make-A-Wish visits. He was a constant force for good. Watching him motivated me and my friends to take karate, which taught valuable lessons I still draw on.
My favorite Chuck Norris movie is The Octagon (1980), which I rented on VHS with my friends in 7th grade over and over. We also loved him fighting Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon (1972), Lone Wolf McQuade (1983), Missing in Action (1984) and many others.
The world suddenly feels a little more lost & empty without him here with us…may he rest in peace.
