Israel Erases Bedouin Villages In Naqab Judaization Drive Despite the residents having Israeli citizenship, their villages are left “unrecognised” by the government & hence allows a legal loophole to destroy their homes, attempting to force them from the area to make way for Jewish only settlements.

Grow up. Homophobic innuendo isn’t going to get you out of this one. Neither is pretending you’re a victim of antisemitism, which you conflate with opposing genocide. You’re a government minister trying to get your political opponent arrested
Replying to @owenjonesjourno
I’m more disturbed that you spent the night thinking about me. The antisemitism I’ve woken to from the extreme left over night is utterly unhinged, shameful and disturbing.

Well, this is also fascinating. The responses to this thread are overwhelmingly dominated by Kremlin denialists. Clearly organised. Very reminiscent of peak Brexit years.
A) This a properly brilliant piece of investigative journalism by BBC & @hopenothate. Huge kudos to all involved. B) The Kremlin operative who BBC names as directing arson attacks against Keir Starmer was taught his tradecraft by…drumroll…Sergei Nalobin !!! Pictured here with Boris Johnson. The illegality of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank is one of the most well-established positions in international law, resting on four distinct pillars: 📜 GENEVA CONVENTIONS Article 49(6) of the Fourth Geneva Convention (1949) explicitly prohibits an occupying power from transferring parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies. Israel ratified the Convention in 1951. The International Committee of the Red Cross, the authoritative interpreter of humanitarian law, has consistently held that this provision applies directly to the settlements. 🌐 UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTIONS The Security Council has repeatedly affirmed settlement illegality — including in binding resolutions the US did not veto: • Res. 446 (1979): settlements have "no legal validity" • Res. 465 (1980): calls on Israel to dismantle existing settlements • Res. 2334 (2016): passed 14-0 (US abstained), explicitly states settlements constitute "a flagrant violation of international law" and have "no legal validity" ⚖️ ICJ RULINGS • Advisory Opinion on the Wall (2004): the Court found settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, had been established in breach of international law, and that the wall built to protect them compounded that illegality • Advisory Opinion on the Occupied Palestinian Territory (2024): the Court went further, ruling that Israel's continued presence in the OPT — including the settlement enterprise — is itself unlawful, and called on all states not to recognise or assist it 🏛️ UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY Countless UNGA resolutions have reaffirmed settlement illegality, including Res. 77/247 (2023), which requested the landmark 2024 ICJ opinion. No serious legal scholar disputes this consensus. The settlements are illegal. The only remaining question is whether the international community will act on it.
Which international law says that they are illegal?

Constant Israeli artillery fire on the outskirts of the city and drones flying overhead, the situation remains extremely volatile here in Nabatieh. Despite the US-Iran interim agreement, Israel has said it will not withdraw from southern Lebanon. Its troops are only a few kilometres from the city. Nabatieh was subjected to intense Israeli air strikes during the war. It’s is now safer, so we could see the massive scale of the destruction, which includes the historic heritage souk. The city remains uninhabitable: there is no running water, electricity or telecommunications network. Reporting for @TheNationalNews

I am in south Lebanon, where countless Lebanese families are heading back home. Passing through the historic city of Tyre you are confronted by overwhelming Israeli devastation that envelopes the senses; downed residential homes, burned out vehicles, and damaged ambulances. But people are returning, some on foot, others packed tightly into vehicles that are running only by the grace of God. The pain of forced displacement has been soothed by the balm of a precarious return.

What a Joke 🇮🇷🇺🇸 U.S. Gave an Iranian World Cup Player, Mehdi Torabi, a Visa Good for only ONE Entry Torabi used it for the New Zealand opener in Los Angeles. The moment that match ended, his visa was expired. The U.S. forced Iran to base in Mexico, leave American soil after every game, and re-enter for the next one. Under a setup built entirely on repeated entries, they handed one player a single entry. The Iran Football Federation has taken steps to obtain a new visa for Torabi so that he can accompany the national team in upcoming matches. This was NOT an accident.

This is incredible. Israel has repeatedly blown up entire apartment blocks on this basis - in Gaza, Lebanon and beyond. Donald Trump is admitting to an Israeli war crime which has specifically killed tens of thousands of civilians. It's a confession!
.@POTUS on Israeli military action in Lebanon: "You don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody, because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they're not all Hezbollah."

💢 Israeli drone activity and attacks continued across southern Lebanon on Tuesday: ➤ In the past few hours, sustained Israeli artillery bombardment has targeted the outskirts of the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh. “For people here, the war didn’t end. Israel, they believe, wants to occupy more areas,” Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported from the field. ➤ Press TV’s correspondent said Israeli forces were shelling Ali al-Taher Hill, a strategic high ground they are seeking to advance toward. ➤ An Israeli attack targeted a van on the road between the villages of Hadatha and Hariss in Bint Jbeil district, a rural border region of southern Lebanon across from northern Israel. A drone also dropped a stun grenade in Hadatha, lightly injuring four people. ➤ Israeli drones carried out three consecutive strikes on the village of Mifdoun, east of Nabatieh, while residents were inspecting earlier damage. No casualties were reported, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency. ➤ Israeli drones were also reported flying at low altitude over Beirut and its southern suburbs.
Heavy Israeli attacks on areas between Nabatieh and Nabatieh Fawqa continues: Artillery shelling and drone strikes are used. Despite this Nabatieh city has many of its residents returned to stay in their homes. The destruction in some of the eastern and southern parts is massive. In the second video, Israeli strikes on Mayfadoun town, nearby Nabatieh overlooking parts of Hujeir valley, lead to many civilian casualties. Artillery and drone strikes are trying to prevent people from returning. In the hospital today i met a man from Safa family from there with serious injuries in his hand, caused by artillery shelling. He was trying to check on his business. This means Israelis are insisting on occupying by fire areas even in North of Litani. We hope our resistance will respond to these terrorist attacks.

Very emotional moment from the interview with Zelenskyy. You should watch this. JOURNALIST: Do you miss being an actor? ZELENSKYY:?I miss being a good father. JOURNALIST: When your children were little, what did you tell them the most? What was the thing that you told them the most when they were small? ZELENSKYY: I love you. JOURNALIST: And what do you tell them now that they're older? ZELENSKYY: Oh, I miss you. JOURNALIST: When was the last time you cried? ZELENSKYY: I will try to do it after our interview. No, I mean this, between us. I'm a normal man and then there are a lot of different moments, between us, almost each day, a lot of losses on the battlefield and civilians, and there are absolutely crazy attacks on our people. And I'm just, it's… I mean, It's very difficult really, when I give orders (medals). I said about it. It's always difficult for me when I give orders (medals) to the mothers and fathers, who lost their children. In such moments, really, I often cry. JOURNALIST: Are you a hero? ZELENSKYY: No. JOURNALIST: So who is your hero? ZELENSKYY:?My hero? My children, my army, our army, and Ukrainian people. So I'm a part… I'm also a Ukrainian, so I'm a part of our nation. But now our nation, I think, that our nation is absolutely heroic.
