After a crash in San Francisco’s West Portal neighborhood killed a family of 4, city leaders are planning major changes to the area where it happened.

SFMTA has announced plans to improve the West Portal Station area — with support from Supervisor Melgar and Mayor Breed — following our related grassroots campaign with over 1,000 supporters!

Closing the intersections nearest transit hubs (e.g. West Portal, Church/Duboce, 4th/King, 4th/Townsend, Embarcadero/Market, 9th between Irving and Judah, etc.) to car traffic would make our city instantly safer while also helping more people shift trips to public transportation.
