Reading is a core part of your intellectual feedback loop that feeds all parts of your ability to learn & express yourself ↪️Writing ⇄ Thinking ⇄ Reading ⇄ Doing ⇄ Speaking ⇄ Listening ↩ Each activity directly helps the next & indirectly helps any along the chain 1/45

Shows like this taught me peace in a household was possible. Not mine, but it's out there.
We didn’t realize it then, but kids’ shows used to be this calm on purpose.

Took a 100 million dollar paycut to get his city a title. Nothing but respect to this man.
In a largely unprecedented financial concession to give roster flexibility to a contender, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has agreed on a four-year, $156.5 million extension, his agent Sam Rose of CAA tells ESPN --- $113M less guaranteed than he’s eligible to receive in one year.

So inspirational. Never give up.
Mike Brown shares a simple but powerful definition of winning in life. "Even if you don't have the quote unquote ultimate success that you think you deserve - if you get knocked down in life and you're able to get back up and keep fighting - that's a fricking win." "Most of our guys have probably had to go through that. But I think most people in the world have to go through it." Success isn't always the result - sometimes it's just refusing to stay down. It's choosing to endure, get back up, and keep fighting. Successful people are relentless. (🎥SNY )

The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Our tax codes are slow to change when labor is concerned, and fast to change when capital is concerned, and that's a big concern.
Today's system taxes labor > capital > inheritance whereas changes in the economy increasingly argue for one that taxes inheritance > capital > labor.

They were scared of Mamdani winning because now every city in every state across the whole country wants a Mamdani of their very own.

Big banks denied entire communities the opportunity to buy homes, start small businesses, and build financial security right here in our City for generations. In response, Ponce Bank was founded in the 1960's to give Puerto Rican New Yorkers the opportunity to build wealth. Today, alongside @NYCComptroller and @nycfinance, we announced that we are depositing $20 million into Ponce Bank branches in Inwood and the Bronx to directly increase access to capital for working people. Government should invest directly into people and neighborhoods. So that’s exactly what we’re doing.

This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.

The ADHD mind already runs on subagents, context-switching, and prompt-caching. That's why it feels so natural and intuitive.
AI will disproportionately benefit ADHD minds because it externalizes the boring, parts of cognition like planning, sequencing, drafting, remembering, prioritizing and amplifies the parts ADHD minds often cook at: rapid association, novelty-seeking, pattern recognition, emotional intensity, and divergent synthesis
