tfw you watch claude flop around for 45 mins trying to make unit tests pass

Good! Because this has been my exerience as a rookie claude coder.. until @htmx_org pointed me in the right direction
And just like that Ralph Wiggum is dead Claude Code can now create its own project tasks and manage itself This is the next step towards Claude being a 24/7 autonomous agent Lesson from this: spend more time on the planning phase. Have Claude build as many detailed tasks as it can. The more time you spend on this, the more time you'll save later having to prompt Claude, because it will just be able to manage itself for hours

Is @htmx_org dive-by-zero safe?
In the 1950s, mechanical calculators had no divide-by-zero protection. If you tried it, the machine went crazy- gears spinning, buzzing loudly, racing until someone yanked the plug. It literally couldn’t stop, and could overheat or break. People learned the hard way: never divide by zero!

this is perhaps the most important browser feature of the last decade: the ability to move DOM elements arbitrarily in the DOM w/o losing state (focus, video, etc.) it will unlock & radically simplify a tremendous amount of functionality on the web please r/t for max visibility

ALT Skeleton Its Happening GIF

We've been working hard on the experimental Node#moveBefore() API to preserve DOM state across element moves & reparenting. Here's a demo working with CSS animations & iframes! Try it out in Chrome Canary at state-preserving-atomic-move…. We'd love your feedback! cc: @nomsternom

I have great respect for both rails & turbo, but allow me a bragtweet about @htmx_org : - turbo 8's morphing is based on idiomorph (github.com/bigskysoftware/id…) - htmx added view transitions in April 2023 - htmx added the preload extension (htmx.org/extensions/preload/) in Feb 2021
7 Feb 2024
Turbo 8 has been released! The big three upgrades are: Morphing for smooth page refreshes, view transition support, and hover-click preload acceleration (ala InstantClick). We're using all this in production already. Big upgrade! github.com/hotwired/turbo/re…

Replying to @jasonfried
@jasonfried as Saas product provider myself - I really, really like your Once concept and Campfire. I have also been dying to get off of Slack (it's really cool, but really expensive on an ongoing basis for what it is). I'm missing just 2 killer features in Campfire:

1. API (I know it's coming. Yay!) 2. The ability to invite outside people, but NOT have them join the "Everyone" channels ... for obvious reasons :)

When exactly did @webafrica go from a great Internet provider to a total failure when it comes to support?

Wait, what? How come this is the first time I've seen a photo of the side of that gorgeous book and why is that the best thing ever @htmx_org. Bloody Amazon better feed the carrier pigeons extra rations so my copy can make it all the way to Cape Town soon!
Full-stack development… @markusvoelter, @TomHombergs, @htmx.

I wish people would stop trying to make React happen and just stick with the de facto front-end king @htmx_org

Unpopular opinion: I like and enjoy React. Even the JSX.

This reminds me of The Axiom in Wall-E
The world's largest cruise ship named "Icon Of The Seas" sets sail in January 2024. It will carry 5610 passengers and 2350 crew members. It's 5 times larger and heavier than the Titanic, weighing 250,800 tons, while the Titanic weighed 50,210 tons.

Hey @bugsnag, why are you wrapping promises and then not implementing the spec properly? Our our app breaks because you've not implemented 'finally': "console-breadcrumbs.js:33 fetch(...).then(...).catch(...).finally is not a function"
