"Don't bring anything," means the host has the meal fully covered. However in polite society you should always bring your host a gift as a thank you, it is never wrong to bring flowers or a bottle of wine (not expecting it to be opened that evening).
I’m so neurodivergent. Was invited to someone’s house for dinner on a group chat. Asked what I could bring. Group chat was told to not bring anything. So I brought nothing. Everyone else brought something anyway. I felt like a dick. Tale as old as time.

Not to touch the third rail of discourse here but Victoria’s Secret was founded by a man who felt uncomfortable and unwelcome shopping for his wife in a department store so even from conception it’s a store for everyone

I technically wouldn't even have to go outside to complete this task.
I’m curious who lives in a walkable neighborhood: If someone offered you $1 million and all you had to do was walk out your door, purchase a pack of M&Ms, and make it back home within twenty minutes, all without the use of a car, how many of you would make the money?

I will forever believe that big screen (TV) okay for children, little screen that appears at will anywhere… bad.
The iPad kid epidemic is going to be looked back on as one of the biggest parenting mistakes of the 2010s and 2020s....

Villanova has been in the Big 5 since 1955. It’s not in the city limits no one pretends it is, however it’s intrinsically linked to the College Basketball Culture of Philadelphia.
You can guess what I will say to all the fake ass 76ers fans who are congratulating those Villanova Knicks for winning a title last night Fake Philly school Fake Philly fans

They know we won the war and they don’t have to eat like this anymore?
The American mind cannot comprehend the pub cheese and onion roll

They’re not a stranger? They’re an employee of the establishment in which I am a patron?
I feel insane bc like,, it’s commonplace throughout Europe (excluding the UK) to go up to the host stand to pay for meals?? In the UK we get it brought to us a lot of the time, but you’re saying that in American you just… give a stranger your bank card???

It’s funny the way some of these people visiting the U.S. from other countries are reacting to our bottom tier food chains. If Chipotle and Cheesecake Factory got you acting like that, I’d hate to see you at someone’s grandma house in South Carolina on a Sunday.

Barney came to a birthday party at my house in like 1998 so like I think you are just joyless.
Just thinking about how nowadays kids birthday parties are not only a huge money grab for parents but can be a big stress too because social media has made it so the expectation is a perfectly aesthetic and curated party with themed decor, food, gift bags, outfit, etc. Bring back 90s birthday parties!!! Simple cake. Generic balloons. A few streamers for decorations. Pizza and chips or something simple for food. Hosting a child’s birthday party should not have to cost hundreds of dollars.

I think the you can have it all was a lie and is not in line with how anything works in life, not just children. Life is tradeoffs, all the time, every day. No one has it all, even if you think they do, they traded off based on what they value.
The world is not set up for having children. I cannot figure out how I'm supposed to make going back to work work for us and make sure my baby gets family time, a home cooked meal, a bath, and a suitable bed time without dropping my hours, taking a pay AND later pension hit

I love a Reddit Snark like any normal person but the people in the Eli Rallo group are genuinely unwell.

no part of America is more American than any other part.
The best decision FIFA made was to have games outside of where Europeans typically go on vacation (NYC/LA/MIA) so they can finally see the *actual* America lol

A lot of the discourse about the no-phone concerts comes from people realizing how uncomfortable they are without their phones. Rather than admit that, they turn it into a moral issue. If being disconnected feels bad, there must be something else to blame.

Philly Suburbs are all of Bucks County, Montgomery County, Chester County, Delaware County. Beyond that you live in PA
Where does it stop being "Philly Suburbs" and starts being just "Pennsylvania"? Phoenixville? Boyertown?

And it’s a great fucking facelift
Rosie O'Donnell says, "For the first time in 15 years, there were paparazzi waiting for me at the airport" when she landed in NYC for the #Tonys: "They wanted to see my facelift."

Why do people act like listening to an artist is them personally commissioning the work thus they get to dictate the way that artist chooses?

Lauren Conrad told us everything we needed to know about Spencer Pratt. Can we just keep him in the epilogue of history now?
