But the most interesting story may not be the money.
A newly released donation heat map suggests significant support may be coming from Australia's major cities—not just the regional areas traditionally associated with One Nation.

One of the most interesting aspects of this campaign is the donor base.
At approximately $3.02 million raised from 49,032 Australians, the average donation works out at around $61 per person.
That's much closer to the grassroots fundraising models seen internationally than the traditional Australian reliance on major donors and fundraising dinners.

"Australia is becoming less connected, less trusting and less involved in community life."
At the National Press Club today, Andrew Leigh unveiled a new "Trust Agenda" aimed at reversing declines in volunteering, philanthropy and civic participation.
Key figures:
📉 Volunteering down from 30% to 23%
📉 Social group participation down from 51% to 45%
📉 Trust in others down from 55% to 50%
