On the Lib Dems' first Opposition day in 15 years, our MPs spoke for the many of us waiting weeks to see a GP, struggling to find an NHS dentist, or facing long waits for mental health care. We will continue to push the government to prioritise our health and care system.

It’s been 100 days since I was elected as Chichester’s MP. I promised to be a hardworking constituency MP, taking local issues to Westminster and so far I have; - Voted against the government’s plans to cut the Winter Fuel Allowance, disproportionately affecting Chichester’s elderly and vulnerable. - Spoken up for the Lavant and the Ems in Westminster Hall debate, met with Southern Water and the Environment Agency to discuss water quality in our special part of the South, met with community activist groups and written to the Secretary of State for the Environment to highlight our specific challenges. - Championed our local services in the NHS and social care as the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Hospitals and Primary Care I’ve also; Dealt with 1500 pieces of individual casework Met with over 100 organisations, businesses and charities who work within the Chichester constituency Hired an incredible team who will support me in my role. Bring on the next 100 days and hopefully meeting many more of you! #100days #chichesterfirst #lovechichester #lovebersted #lovepagham #loveselsey #lovethewitterings #lovesouthbourne

In July, we brought the Blue Wall tumbling down, winning 60 seats from the Conservatives, including places that had only ever elected Conservative MPs. We did it by speaking to voters who felt let down and taken for granted. Now, let’s finish the job.

I’ve been in Brighton for the last four days for our Liberal Democrat Autumn conference! Here’s a taste of what I got up to; 🌿 Spoke about the importance of nature recovery in the Chichester constituency when summating on a motion for National Nature Parks. 🌊 Took fellow MPs out in kayaks on Brighton beach with Women in Sport to encourage more women to take up a sport. 🎼 Submitted and spoke for an amendment to protect music fans from surge pricing and ticket touts. 💷 Joined a panel to discuss the importance of philanthropy and charitable giving to support communities and sang the praises of charities such as Young People’s Shop and PACSO. 🎤 Spoke on both TV and radio about how Liberal Democrats will be a constructive opposition 🖇️ Met with organisations and charities to talk about the support available to Chichester constituents and how best to support the work they do. 🚰 Visited the Peacehaven Water Treatment Plant with the Liberal Democrat environment spokesperson, Tim Farron, to meet with Southern Water’s Chief Executive to highlight the serious issues facing our area and plan further meetings in the constituency. 7️⃣2️⃣ - Celebrated our huge success of 72 Liberal Democrat MPs with colleagues, members and activists from across the Country, which included having lots of fun! Back home now and Chairing a Westminster forum debate tomorrow morning on water quality with industry leaders, then visiting a Chichester care home in the afternoon!

My inbox has been full of constituents, concerned about the impact the loss of the winter fuel payment will have on their ability to stay warm this winter. Today I spoke up for Sherry, Roy and Vicky, just a few of the voices that voiced their fears to me. The @libdems have stood against Labour on this because we believe although there are tough choices to be made, this burden shouldn’t be shouldered by our most vulnerable in society. #winterfuelpayment #ChichesterFirst @age_uk

The Government's new plans to tackle sewage dumping will not be enough to stop this scandal- we need a complete reform of this broken industry. We need a tough new regulator and to reform water companies into public benefit corporations where the environment is put before profit

Dementia can feel like a complicated, scary and lonely path to navigate, which is why the work that Sage House in Tangmere does is so important, from diagnosis to the end stages. I have experienced first hand the decline of a loved one and am in awe of Sage House’s approach to giving those suffering with this cruel disease the best possible experience. That’s why I was so grateful to be invited yesterday to their official opening of their sensory garden, created for their patients and families and made possible with a grant from @chichesterdc, fencing provided by @knightfencing, plants from @brick_kiln_garden_centre and many others who contributed to the project. #dementiacare
