Strengthening Youth Participation in Climate Conversations!
@Oayouthkenya participated in the Green Week Mazingira Challenge Day at Kenyatta University as part of ongoing efforts under the
#SikilizaSautiYetu Project to amplify youth voices on issues affecting communities and the future of the environment.
Representing the organization were Programmes Coordinator Sandra Chepkogei and
@KYCA_Council Members
@JUSTINEMAGANG10 and
@MachukaOgeto who contributed to the panel discussion focused on
#climateaction, policy, and livelihoods.
The conversation highlighted the growing need to involve young people in shaping
#sustainablesolutions and creating opportunities that connect climate action to everyday realities.
At OAY-Kenya, we continue working with young people through dialogues,
#advocacy spaces, community engagement, and partnerships that encourage meaningful participation in climate and development conversations.
The
#GreenWeek engagement offered another opportunity to connect with students, exchange ideas, and encourage practical action towards environmental
#sustainability.
What climate solution would you like to see young people champion more in Kenya?
