Quote tweet me all you like the 'controlled crossing' is irrelevant as rule H2 of the UK Highway Code applies in all circumstances, you give way to pedestrians waiting to cross or crossing when turning into a junction. A rule that applies in most European countries by the way. 🙄

Cyclists should give "way to" to pedestrians waiting at a controlled crossing on red for the pedestrians 🤦 and green for the main carriageway. That's "silly" right? Sure, avoid collision if someone is going to step out, don't think they know what a controlled crossing is for.
They always have right of way over someone turning into the road from any junction regardless of road signage. Even if they were just waiting to cross the cyclist should have given way.

Uncle misses the point that cycle lanes are there for people of all abilities and those that don't or can't ride comfortably on the road. Not an ongoing issue but I was getting a bit of pain in my back at the time that made 20mph on cobbles unappealing. Your experience may vary.
If this is actually you riding the bike this is embarrassing. Put some pedals down and move yourself rather than being so dogmatic as to insistently pull into an obviously full lane on a high street that's probably a 20 zone.

West Blackhall st, Greenock. Found myself on this cycle lane by accident, as a shortcut lead me through the shopping centre (walking) I'd used it before, but noticed it being reported as "controversial" "not used" the mind boggles why they haven't installed bollards/barriers 🤯

The phased rollout of 20mph speed limits across Glasgow begins today, with Govan the first neighbourhood to see nearly 200 streets reduced from 30.
The move aims to cut collisions, reduce injury severity and help create calmer, safer streets - especially for people who walk, wheel and cycle.
Locals in the southside of the city are hopeful the new limit will save lives.

Why does cyclists obsess themselves with figuring out whether or following car can overtake or not. That's none of your business. Your job is to ride along mind your own business keep left like everybody is supposed to and don't deliberately obstruct traffic as that's an offence

Clip 1: Intresting, looking back on "why" someone pumps. My reading of it was the driver thought I was holding them up behind the black car, the lane they beeped me into ends shortly after. Clip 2/3 front rear I actually had to signal this over take wasn't on just before this.🤔

Not dramatic, just getting up to speed and heading down hill, felt I needed to brake relatively sharply to avoid going into the junction side by side. On the up side there was a short cycle lane after the junction. I presume this will eventually connect to the London Rd lane🤞

Just after the anniesland rd/Dumbarton road bridge on the old railway line(cycle route/walkway). Dumped corrugated roofing or cladding. Not sure of the material (concrete like) could this be flagged for removal. Thanks. @MyGlasgowCC

I don’t need to ask that question. No one‘s walking along the sidewalk anyway so if you want my opinion, tear up the sidewalk too if that bothers you so much but the fact of the matter is, this is not a biking path. No one is ever on bikes here, and the fact that you have to complain about the sidewalk to understand that is funny.
