I made a site to complement our year 7 SoL. Learners (anybody, in fact) can explore what Spain has to offer and plan a holiday, add to a phrasebook, explore different activities and learn about Spain's different regions. Lots more to come with this one. spainexplorer.co.uk/ 🇪🇸

6 weeks off in summer is great. Retweet this to annoy someone who really begrudges all that time off teachers get.

Concerning that language learning is less widespread in schools in less affluent areas. Language learning should be an opportunity for everyone, not a privilege. German in particular is an extremely practical & sought-after skill – the highest in-demand among UK employers.
🚨New data from @BritishCouncil Language Trends report shows languages increasingly concentrated in more affluent schools: theguardian.com/education/20…

Are we really a nation of nature lovers? I mean deep down, in a personal, committed way? Or is the UK's renowned ‘love’ for nature more conceptual and theoretical than out there in the real world? Thread 1/8 👇
