Crypto gets a hard time regarding its carbon footprint
The truth is, new research shows that 8 big banks 10 asset managers generated 79 x more emissions than all of crypto mining, 2.169 billion tonnes of CO2. If these banks were a country, they'd be the 5th largest emitter.
This is a tongue-in-cheek, but realistic view of the current state of DAOs and DAO onboarding tooling - great to have this summarised as problems to solve and to be aware of, thanks @petergyang
We're hosting a welcome/info session for Positive Sum DAO this Wed/Thu (NZST).
Interested in the intersection of Web3, DAOs, & more open startup communities - come join us!
Super-early days, lots of opps to get involved as we explore the space together!

1/ After founding & launching a #DAO over the last 3 months and trying my hardest to stick to the best-practice rhetoric around community first, product second - I'm starting to realise that only feels right for social DAOs and not all DAOs, esp. service DAOs.
8/ Social DAOs should focus on community-building first, & likely more emergent than service DAOs, which should focus on minimum viable product/platform to show & onboard into value-delivery first, then focus on conversion of members through small bounties into full contributors.
@forefront__@joincolony@superdao_co interested if you've seen the same from the emerging DAOs you've been working with? Have they come to similar conclusions sooner or are there better ways to think about showing value loop sooner?
