I worked alongside @UKLabour ‘s @JohnHealey_MP for a while in South Yorkshire. He’s a highly intelligent and deeply principled man, demonstrating both through his action today - standing down as @DefenceHQ minister. I’m proud of him. #standardsinpubliclife

Labour have halved the asylum backlog, yet the media never mention it. Why is that?

If you’ve ever been to a game, or listened to match commentaries on #VillaTV, then you know that @IanTaylor7 has made hundreds of further appearances too - which we all value very much. Bravo Ian! #UTV
Ian Taylor made his 290th and final Aston Villa appearance, #OnThisDay in 2003.

We’ve restored Erasmus and now we are going further with our Youth Experience Scheme. We are rebuilding a stronger relationship with Europe.

I am so disappointed in the Labour MPs calling for a change of leadership. We are 2 years into government and they are just playing into the right wing media's hands and paving the way for Reform.

The trends say that #university commuting student numbers will rise over time. If they do, I hope that @PlymUni will consider retiming its exams from 0900 as that means an 0545 start for #cornish home-based students.

London MP drinks a London beer after playing football. Nice one @10DowningStreet
This photo perfectly exposes how out of touch you are. Starmer is actually drinking beer or playing the nation’s number one sport. What do you do, apart from being part of a fascistic, non-dom elite while wearing naftaline-smelling blazers?

Information killed high streets, and it will kill out of town too. I research anything I need to buy, and where to get it from, online. Many friends don’t visit supermarkets anymore, but have shopping delivered. Towns are for specialists (art, antiques) & recreational spend…
If you’re wondering why your local high street is dying, have you considered the possibility that car dominance, poor public transport links, a lack of cycle lanes, and the absence of high quality street cleaning and green infrastructure are amongst the chief reasons?
