It only took me the rest of the week, but in this thread is my recap of #AAPTSM23 I learned a lot and was very thankful for the encouragement to attend, connect with so many educators, develop in my identity as a physics educator, and support my learners next year!

Great difference in students’ descriptions of HS and college instructors. #AAPTSM22
ALT All teachers are helpful, but HS teachers are accessible, caring, encouraging, committed to student success, and know students as individuals.

The podcast also solidified why I find cognitive science SO helpful and not enough. Cognitive science deals with one brain, but my class has many people, with their own cultures and idiosyncratic experiences. 5/6
