I’ll take trillionaires creating millionaires over millionaires creating trillions of debt any day and twice on tax day.

When politicians say they want to seize/tax "wealth" but actually mean "shares in your own company that you yourself founded", the real point is making it impossible for anyone to actually control their own company for more than a decade. They won't let you stay, either.

Bill Maher: “Elon is now a trillionaire… Now I give Elon his props. He has created amazing things. Yes, SpaceX is amazing, so is Tesla, Neuralink, and Starlink. Elon owns a company that can rewire your brain. It’s called Twitter.” “Elon says he will use his wealth to get to Mars because he believes one thing above all: if you have to leave Earth to avoid California taxes, you do what you have to do.”

Building is hard. Few realize this, because few attempt it. What @WilliamWolfe is doing with @BaptistLeaders is similar to @elonmusk with @SpaceX. Where Elon builds rockets, William builds networks, alliances, and partnerships advancing conservative Christian ideas. Elon makes trillions. William will have his reward in heaven.

Can I just say how great it is that we have now had two back-to-back presidents who are committed to actually reflecting the will of ordinary Southern Baptists, instead of opposing and denigrating them and shouting at them that they’re part of a Synagogue of Satan. It really is a new day.
In response to a question about getting @albertmohler’s Truth and Unity Amendment passed next year in Indianapolis, newly elected SBC President @WillyRice said, “I’ll do everything I can.”

My favorite @elonmusk quote that I often send friends: Do not fear losing. “You will lose,” Musk says. “It will hurt the first fifty times. When you get used to losing, you will play each game with less emotion.” You will be more fearless, take more risks.

There is nothing unchristian about trillionaire entrepreneurs bringing more people out of poverty than most denominations.
There is nothing unchristian about loving your nation and wanting the best for it.

This is beyond FU money. But I have no clue what to call it. Genghis Khan money? Alexander the Great money? US federal government money?

Dear Southern Baptist family, we have much work to do. As we return to Baptist headquarters (our local churches) for a busy season of ministry, I want to thank you again for your many expressions of prayer and support. As we look ahead, I assure you that it is my intent to lead out of the 7 Pillars of Renewal that I articulated throughout the spring. We are reworking our Baptist renewal website and will have a revised site up and running very soon. We want to provide a mechanism for Baptist people to express their concerns and questions. It is not possible or advisable to try to interact with every comment or question online, but we do care and want to find ways to interact with good faith concerns. We want to hear your ideas and attempt to answer questions that may come our way. The SBC President represents the people. My job is to serve you. We’re already hard at work, so stay tuned for more information to come.

The crisis is real. We're getting better and better at producing credentialed people while failing to educate. And doing so at higher and higher prices.
A Berkeley history professor said he’s gone from assigning 100 pages of reading per week to 35. Another “said the earliest version of the…course he taught required seven full books, while his most recent iteration exclusively consisted of excerpts.” “We are now reaching a crisis point where if the number (of pages) goes down further, it’s unclear to me whether my discipline of history can really be taught,” the first one said.

🔥Hot off the presses: @TheJusticeDept issued an opinion today explaining that disparate-impact liability under federal employment law is *unconstitutional*. This is an earthquake in federal civil rights law. If right, this is the foundation to overturn that pernicious regime.

Bringing out a relative of MLK was a genius move by the GOP. You knew the Dems were gonna respond with the big cannons.

Some insider baseball for my SBC followers, especially those at the annual meeting: Jeff Iorg’s statement that “the mission matters most” is, of course, quite true. But the way he contrasted that with “other issues, which matter much less” should not delude anyone into thinking that focusing on issues like women pastors are “distractions” from the mission. Don’t take the bait, brothers and sisters. “The mission that matters most” is God’s mission, but we must undertake that on God’s terms. This means we cannot pit doctrine against evangelism or missions. The former fuels the latter. As Willy Rice rightly said yesterday, “Faithfulness today means fruitfulness tomorrow.” Remember this when the time comes to vote for Mohler’s truth and unity amendment.
