I met with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney of Canada. I still vividly remember attending last year's G7 Summit at Prime Minister Carney's invitation, making it especially meaningful to meet him again one year later at my second G7 Summit. Canada is a cherished friend that fought alongside with Korea in defense of freedom and peace, and a key partner that has contributed to peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula. Built on deep trust and a strong bond, our two countries continue to broaden the horizons of cooperation. I am confident that the Republic of Korea—a global leader in the defence industry with advanced industrial capabilities—is the ideal partner to help strengthen Canada's defence capabilities and support its growth into an energy powerhouse.
