Before you quote that "ridiculous" position, can't you see the blue tick? Are you not tired of being used for engagement?

Ironically I think that moving to a place that cuts your prayer points by 90% should strengthen your faith. If you no longer have to pray for trivial things, that should be a good thing, because you will have more time and space to contemplate the beauty and holiness of God.

Elderly female Judges can be very firm, but you can ā€˜toast’ them too! šŸ˜ŠšŸ¤—šŸ˜‚ Yesterday, I appeared before a Judge of the FCT High Court in one of the divisions in the outskirts. Because of the distance to town, you hardly enjoy going there. 🄹 Case was called and I represent the defendant. The Applicant was absent from court for a record second time. I knew the Judge, as a personal policy, likes giving latitude to parties so she could have asked me whether the Applicant was served hearing notice against yesterday. Of course, it’s not my duty as Respondent, I’m however familiar with the Judge enough to know her leanings. So, my mission was simple. Toast her! 😁After she took my appearance, I said: ā€œThe Applicant and his counsel are absent for a second time today. No reason is given for their absence. As much as I enjoy coming to this court to look at my lord’s beautiful face, this case is not being diligently prosecuted. I want case struck outā€ 😊😁 At the last line, my lord dropped her pen, laughed and blushed thoroughly šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Mission accomplished. Ordered as prayed. 😁#Litgeng #ThingsTheyDontTeachInLawSchool

Does anyone in Canada/US use piggy vest to save ? Is there an option to deposit dollars directly or do I have to change dollars to naira and then deposit into Piggyvest ? And after the saving period, can I withdraw as dollars ? Idk how this works

Just remembered when I had my Bloomberg system design round. It was the first time I had to design systems at that scale, and I was so nervous. I put out a tweet asking if anyone would be kind enough to do a mock interview with me. Out of everyone, @kelseyhightower responded. He gifted me a solid 30 minutes of his time and helped sharpen my doubts. I went into the interview feeling super confident and nailed it. I'm really grateful to people like Kelsey who devote their time to helping others. There are 10x engineers and he’s top of that list.
What it’s like to receive a job offer directly from Satya Nadella. @kelseyhightower, former Google Distinguished Engineer, on the Microsoft offer that revealed a pay tier he didn't know existed: ā€œI got this email from Satya, the CEO of Microsoft. He wrote this nice email: 'Kelsey, heard you had a good experience with the team' - remember I did the interview at the Microsoft headquarters - ā€œheard really good things from the team, just wanted to let you know, you're going to be respected here. We're going to support you as a team.ā€ I'm like, damn, support as a team? Coming from the CEO? So, number one, what an honor. This is the CEO of Microsoft. He has so many more important things to be doing than to be emailing me about a role. I opened the PDF - not very often in your career does a zero get added to the equation. And so you're looking at this like, I didn't even know that they do that. We know that it happens. But the person that graduated from high school in 1999, that chose the A Certification didn't know that was available. Even while I was at Google having all the success. Google paid me pretty well too, but I didn't know you can add another zero still. And I'm like, wow. I showed my wife and she was the one that said you should just go interview, like put your ego to the side and let's go see what's out there, so shout out to my wife. And so I get the PDF, and I'm like, okay, this number is perfect. Honestly, I don't know what to say, but let’s just find out, is this really the only number? So I remember giving a counter: you know what, I think it should be this. The funny thing is, Microsoft countered back higher, like we're not playing around. I'm like, oh, whoa. Now I understand that I don't understand this part of the game.ā€

I never imagined I would be making this kind of plea. My wife, Dasola, went in for a Caesarean Section to deliver our baby, but what should have been the happiest moment of our lives suddenly became a fight for survival. She developed severe sepsis after surgery, leading to

The stark difference between how Kim handles and exits relationships Vs Khloe is the psychology of growing up as the pretty sister Vs the ugly sister. One grows up expecting options, the other learns to tolerate more. That shows up in relationships

I don’t even acknowledge my friends boyfriends as humans so let’s start there.

This will irritate your religious sensibilities but it is the truth. If prayers could fix Nigeria, we would have been the greatest nation in the world. The more we’ve prayed, the worse things have gotten. This is because miracles don’t fix nations, righteous systems do. Prayer is easy. Righteousness is where the work is. And it is righteousness that exalts a nation, not prayers. The righteousness mentioned in Proverbs 14:34 is צְדָקָքה Tzedakah. It means a deep commitment to fairness, treating people right and justice. It speaks to a system that ensures things are done right. We love to pray but not turn from our wicked ways. The equation MUST be complete. 2Chronicles 7:14 Righteous action is what validates our prayers. Prayers CANNOT fix Nigeria. Demand a better leadership, protest for justice, fix the right people into systems. Repentance is what we need! A change of orientation from selfishness and greed!

it’s true that women can’t wait forever to have children but there’s an extreme right wing and bizarre fear mongering campaign happening now that isn’t based in reality. 33 years old is a perfectly normal age to get pregnant!
I’m an IVF Doctor. Business Is Booming Because Ob-Gyns Aren’t Doing Their Jobs. Just last Monday, a woman sat across from me in my office and asked a question I have come to dread. Why had no one told her? She is 33, a therapist, married three years, and she has been to her gynecologist every year since high school. She was also on the brink of perimenopause. She had assumed that when she was ready, her body would be too. No one in two decades of annual visits had ever explained that the most consequential decisions about her capacity to bear children were being made by her ovaries on a calendar she could not see, while her doctor took her blood pressure and refilled her birth control. She is the patient I see several times a month. She is the most preventable tragedy in American medicine. thefp.com/p/im-an-ivf-doctor…

when a man who was in my story likes 2 days ago hard launches a girlfriend today……. I slip a little deeper into psychosis daily

This is a lie. The jokes were in fact, about how insecure she was about her weight.
May 20
Most of Mindy Kaling's early career was full of punchlines and witty comebacks about how she would never lose weight because she was content with her curves and disinterested in conforming to the unfair beauty standards. Now she says she achieved her drastic weight loss by "food moderation," hiking, and strength training. The fat celebs and influencers only hid behind the battle cry of body positivity in the past because they couldn't conform to the beauty standards. But now that Ozempic is here, they can and so they do. Good for her, she looks great. But let's not pretend this is due to hiking.

The most interesting thing to me is always the assumption. They are just so sure that this black kid they've made up in their head took "their spot". Like it's an idea so inherently racist as it is egotistical I can't help but believe they were raised to think that way.
Every other May I have to see some Asian kid with a full ride to Brown cry and moan cuz he didn’t get into Harvard and now he has to make it black peoples problem. You guys are raising assholes and leaving us to deal with them.
