It’s unlikely that I will vote for a Democrat in the near future. Possible, but unlikely. In general, the patriotic moderate Dem is most aligned with my political views, but I don’t see any of them anymore. Not in the limelight at least. Many will roll their eyes at this, but honestly, the “fuck Elon” Dems and anyone who associates with them are automatically nonstarter candidates for me. Not because I totally align with Elon politically. I think a lot of political stuff Elon reposts is similar in propaganda level to the shit Bernie and Warren post, just on the opposite side of politics. Low-level fear-mongering BS that intentionally ignores complexity to manipulate people emotionally. When I look at the sum of Elon, he’s one of my heroes, but I don’t always agree with him. So why are these “fuck Elon” Dems nonstarter candidates for me? Because I’ve met people who work for Elon. I’ve seen and experienced the products his companies output. I’ve been part of his supply chain, which helps keep me employed. I’ve seen how many lives his companies have impacted positively. I see how his products will save countless lives into the future, long after we’re all dead. I see how SpaceX inspires a generation of new builders, and every human who hasn’t yet lost their humanity. I think of the second order impacts of this and how massive it is for our entire species. I think of how I feel seeing a massive rocket in person, or how I can’t watch a Starship launch without tearing up. Elon has gathered the brightest humans together, and together they are pushing against the current bounds of humanity. You absolutely cannot have a healthy society without this. It’s hard-wired into humanity to explore. We have to push the boundaries or we will wither away and die. This is obvious and has been true for all of recorded human history. The frontier is the weight room. Bottom line? Anyone who would launch a calculated propaganda campaign to attack the person enabling this has to be the antichrist basically. Seeing SpaceX reach a new milestone yesterday while the “fuck Elon” Dems all launched their attack script like robots felt surreal to me. They really do come off as a death cult. There is nothing inspiring or exciting in their world. Just miserable nonsense, where the goal is to create nothing, and demonize those who create and push the boundaries. It is the most flaccid and pathetic group of people I’ve ever seen in politics in my life, and I will never support any of them for this reason alone. They will not be satisfied until they’ve snuffed the light of the USA and destroyed a generation of dreamers. Fuck em.

When should we start talking and wildly speculating about V15 and what it’ll be like?

One of the best parts of SpaceX going public is getting to invest in Gwynne Shotwell leadership.

This is where my car is at the very edge of max summon radius. Cool party trick, but still basically a useless feature for me until this changes. Legit takes longer to summon it to me vs me just walking the extra few steps to get to the car

🚀 fuck Bernie
.@BernieSanders , it is a time to celebrate. @elonmusk has created enormous value for society by building @SpaceX, driving down the cost of rocket launches and creating a global satellite communication network that has brought high speed, low-cost internet and communication access to hundreds of millions and eventually billions of people along with critical advantages for our military and our nation’s defense. SpaceX and its technologies will cause an acceleration in the growth of wages and wealth creation globally, including in some of the poorest communities in the U.S. and around the world. Access to low-cost, high speed communications everywhere will allow children around the world to be educated, families to build businesses, and life-saving medical knowledge and care to be available everywhere. SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity. Meanwhile, 4,000 SpaceX employees yesterday became millionaires, including hourly wage employees who you claim you are trying to help. The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist. Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives. Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation. Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears. Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction. We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.

I have no clue why Tesla is bombing robotaxi rollout so badly, but I don’t really care because I know they’re going to go vertical eventually. I have evidence in my car.

I haven’t had any uncomfortable braking yet. I don’t like to rush anymore to say amazing things because it usually takes 1,000 miles to have a fully formed opinion, but so far this one feels like the closest thing to autonomy yet. I think the UI changes are a factor here too.
Another smooth drive on 14.3.4 today. This was the first time my car made this particular drive without any awkward braking since 14.3 was released. Could it really be fixed?!

I have a 105 mile, 7,000ft climbing ride tomorrow, so I need to make sure I load up on enough vodka today. Important to be prepared.

I’m fully on my phone on standard mode 14.3.4 going through back roads and getting zero nag whatsoever. Like both hands on phone in front of the wheel looking down at it the entire time. Not one blue flash on screen yet after a full 2 minutes. I’m on 25 mph roads. ….. still nothing. Still nothing. One blue screen after 3-4 mins, instantly cleared by a quick glance up. Damn. Wild how they’re really doing this. Never would’ve thought we’d be here two years ago when I started testing.

The way and speed at which this platform has improved after Nikita’s team demonetized spammers/grifters and rewarded original, quality creators should be a case study in “show me the incentives, and I’ll show you the outcomes.”

I love Sara. Unbelievably based.
We should make sure Americans are not pursuing entrepreneurial, game-changing, humanity-improving innovations and inventions that create enormous value and catapult American competitiveness? That culture and pursuit are what makes America special and unique. And it’s why Europe has no trillion dollar companies and is nowhere in the ai revolution or technology

Fuckin love this guy if you didn’t know already
Elon Musk: There are no lords and peasants at Tesla. Everyone eats at the same table. “I actually know the people on the line, because I worked on the line, I walked the line, I slept in the factory, and I worked beside them. So, I'm no stranger to them. There are many people at Tesla who have gone from working on the line to being in senior management. There are no lords and peasants. Everyone eats at the same table. Everyone parks in the same parking lot. At GM, there's a special elevator only for senior executives. We have no such thing at Tesla. We give everyone stock options. Many people who are just working the line, who didn't even know what stocks were, we've made them millionaires. And I just want to say that I'm incredibly appreciative of those who build the cars, and they know it.” New York Times DealBook Summit, 2023
