Just came upon this rather epic short video I took from our party in Bertram TX, after our first orbital launch 🚀. The fire department showed up and shut us down, but not before we showed them where the fire in ⁦@fireflyspace⁩ came from. #fireflys

Poured myself a Don Julio 70 shot and hunkered down with my husband to watch. After reading the book in 24 hours, the movie did not disappoint. As an insider and former Head of Marketing and Comms for two of the companies during the early small rocket launch boom (@vectorlaunch and then @fireflyspace) where do I begin? First it’s all very real, and after the drama that unfolded at Firefly today with the ousting of yet another CEO, it continues. I still have a love of space and truly believe in the mission of so many amazing commercial space companies, especially @RocketLab, @planet and @LeoLabs_Space and the truth teller, @planet4589 but I am ok being closer to Earth. What I will be doing is making sure all my non space friends watch this, so they can finally understand why I disappeared from their lives for a bit, only to resurface a bit frazzled. Major kudos and congrats to @ashleevance and his partner @rosskauffman and @HBO for taking the chance on this great team to tell the tale.

Coming from the Valley, and spending many days/weeks/months talking and working with non-valley people throughout my career, this one. This one says it all. We really all are in this together and a rising tide lifts all ships. Hopefully that tide will come.
