@unhco, alongside key stakeholders, has launched the Uganda Tobacco Industry Interference Index 2025. @BagumaRT has emphasized the need to tax tobacco products and urged collective responsibility in enforcement. The loss of 5,284 lives, largely due to tobacco, is deeply alarming.

According to Hon. Milton Muwuma, Uganda has one of the strongest Tobacco Control Act but enforcement is failing its effectiveness. He said this at the ongoing press conference to launch the Tobacco Industry Interference Index 2025.
