Flavored e-cigarettes now on the market deliver ever-greater levels of nicotine at lower prices, increasing the risk to kids. Some products contain as much nicotine as 200 cigarettes or more. The industry’s strategy is clear: Lure kids with fun flavors and hook them with massive doses of nicotine.
To protect kids, the FDA and other policymakers must crack down on flavored e-cigarettes – most of which are on the market illegally.
