Vegetation Fire - May 19, 2026 At 6AM, Montecito Fire responded to reports of a fire near SB HWY 101, just north of the Summerland exit. Firefighters found a 50x50 ft fire near the train tracks & quickly knocked it down. Thanks to @CSFPD & @sbsheriff for responding with us.

Tangerine Falls Trail Rescue - April 3, 2026: At 2:40PM, Montecito Fire responded to Cold Springs Trail for an injured hiker at Tangerine Falls. Montecito Fire Squad 91 & SB City Engine 77 hiked up and provided initial medical care for a female hiker with a broken ankle. 1/

Structure Fire - March 17, 2026 At 9:54 AM, Montecito Fire responded to the 500 block of Paso Robles Dr for a report of a structure fire. Firefighters first on scene found fire on a second floor balcony of a two-story residence. No damage to the inside of the residence. 1/

The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes of firefighters arriving on scene. No one was injured. Cause is currently under investigation. Firefighters will remain on scene for several hours to ensure for safety. 2/

Cold Springs Trail Rescue - March 13, 2026 Just after 12:30 p.m. Friday, Montecito Fire responded to the Cold Springs Trail for an injured hiker. A male patient was headed back from Tangerine Falls when he injured his knee. 1/

Firefighters located him along the West Fork near the creek at 1:12 p.m. and coordinated with Santa Barbara County Air Support Unit Copter 3 to hoist and transport him to the hospital. Santa Barbara County Search & Rescue also responded to the hiker’s location. 2/2

Structure Fire - March 8, 2026 At 1:34 p.m., Montecito Fire responded to a structure fire on the 1300 block of School House Road. Initial reports were that a power pole was on fire and subsequently caught a garage on fire. 1/

Firefighters found a small garage on fire with damage isolated to the outside. Firefighters knocked down the fire within 13 minutes. Edison was called to the scene to inspect and repair the power pole. No injuries. Thanks to @SBCity Fire, @CSFPD & AMR for responding with us. 2/2
