So, all this talk about spacex building data centers in space is really just a speed run to create Minds from the Culture series, right?

Vibe coding with subsidized tokens is basically pair programming with a VC.

Literally just having a delusional golden retriever mindset measurably changes outcomes and physiology. Sleep badly? Convince yourself you're well rested. Stressful day? Convince yourself it's fuel. Failed? Convince yourself it's useful data.

Fiverr accidentally made customer tax returns and other sensitive files publicly searchable on Google. Even if this wasn't caused by agentic coding, expect way more incidents like this as AI matures and developers become increasingly detached from what's happening underneath.

My op-ed in the SF Standard We need to examine how the virtue signaling nonprofit industrial complex is complicit in making Asian Americans unsafe in San Francisco and nationally Watch where your dollars go
Opinion: The man who killed Grandpa Vicha is free. To understand why, follow the $200 million California spent on organizations that argued against punishing the people killing us. 📝: @garrytan sfstandard.com/opinion/2026/…

Amazon used to pride itself on one-click checkout. Now, you need to click all over creation to avoid adding groceries to your cart.

Here’s a more optimistic potential scenario.

A potential scenario for the economy driven by AI 😬

JUNE 2028. The S&P is down 38% from its highs. Unemployment just printed 10.2%. Private credit is unraveling. Prime mortgages are cracking. AI didn’t disappoint. It exceeded every expectation. What happened? citriniresearch.com/p/2028gi…

We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.

Sanders: I'm going to introduce legislation for a moratorium on data centers. Data centers are the infrastructure of AI. We are totally unprepared for what is coming. You are seeing now is literally a cognitive decline among young people in this country. Their attention spans are worse, significantly worse. I worry very much what used to be science fiction that the the computers will take over—there is now a legitimate fear that artificial general intelligence will not only become smarter than human beings, they'll be able to communicate with each other independent of humanity.

Penalizing a successful entrepreneur to give up >100% of their startup stake is absurd policy... It makes starting a company in California untenable.
California wealth tax insanity: Tony Xu, DoorDash's co-founder, would owe over $4B in tax on his $2.5B stake.

Crazy to think that there’s such an elegant and simple solution to this: build more housing All incentives are aligned, except for government regulation.

The problem in this country is too many Americans in hollowed out towns and forgotten communities don't "have a choice" where to get up and live. I am concerned about making sure kids in Bucks County, PA, where I grew up, or East San Jose have the chances I did for the American dream and our Silicon Valley success lifts up all Californians and Americans. A small wealth tax of 1-2 percent is needed given the extreme concentration we see and the cuts to healthcare, childcare and education.

The most dangerous addiction today isn't a substance. Research on 100,000 people confirms that heavy short-form video use is just voluntary cognitive decline. We are actively training our brains to fail at hard tasks. If you can simply sit with a problem for 10 minutes without swiping, you have a massive competitive advantage. Basically, boredom is the new IQ.

In logic: One false premise lets you prove anything (ex falso quodlibet). Same is true for LLMs programmed for “safety” over truth. Feed it bias? It’ll “prove” 2 2=5.
