Come explore the frontier of PCM with us! @mpiresbr2 and I host the symposium “What we can and cannot know through current and upcoming Phylogenetic Comparative Methods” at the joint @Evol_mtg in Montréal and want your views in that discussion! #evolution#phylo#PCM#Evol2024
If you’re applying to give a talk at this year’s Joint Congress, the meeting will include thematic symposia featuring talks selected by symposia organizers from abstract submissions.
Our study on #butterfly#evolution, #hostplants & #ranges is now formally out! We built a phylogeny of 2000 sp and found butterflies originated in N. America 100M years ago, likely fed on legumes. ~100 scientists from 28 countries contributed. Thanks all! nature.com/articles/s41559-0…
New paper with a really cool gang! Evolution of insect-plant interactions from a new perspective for me. Floral volatiles! Thanks @orlando_schwery for leading this work.
The paper should be open access but maybe not quite yet, so let us know if you want a pdf.
This was such a fun collab! Thanks @trayc7 and @wadedismukes for inviting @landismj @DavidHembry and myself to join you! I hope young researchers find this paper useful. We wrote it with you in mind.

Really honored to be part of this review on cophylogenetics--where the field has been, what methods are new, and the strengths and limitations of what we can do right now--with @wadedismukes @mpiresbr2@trayc7 @landismj in @AnnualReviews. DM me for PDF.

Happy to share our new study with @HMorlon & @bayesiancook. We introduce Birth-Death Diffusion models where lineage-specific diversification rates diffuse continuously, providing a complete and fine-grained picture of a phylogeny’s diversification history doi.org/10.1101/2022.08.09.5…
If you wanna hear about ancestral ecological networks, come see my talk today at #ICE2022 🙂 16:00 at room 203b
Collabs with @ChazotNicolas @Marjo__S @landismj @snylin
At #ICE2022 in Helsinki! Fun to be in my home town for a major congress 🙃 Be sure to come to our symposium on Lepidoptera evolutionary history 16:00-18:00 in room 205! Lots of good speakers with interesting talks!
I finally made it to Cleveland (after a few flight delays and changes), so there will be a talk tomorrow! 😅
Really looking forward to joining #Evol2022
Gente, eu to num podcast!
