Data from Open Minds shows Kentucky ranks 8th amongst states with the LONGEST I/DD waiver waiting lists. Nearly 13,000 Kentuckians are still waiting for access to critical community-based services.

With the Senate’s passage of the reconciliation bill, nearly
100 million will be stripped from Kentucky’s SCL program over the next 4 years. This program enables Kentuckians with significant intellectual/developmental disabilities to receive support services in the community.

Last night, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued a memo instructing all federal agencies to "temporarily pause all activities related obligation or disbursement of all Federal financial assistance..."
While it is unclear at this time whether Medicaid falls within this broad scope, please take action today to contact your Senator and Representative through our action alert and request that they reach out to OMB for immediate clarification.

The Kentucky House has just passed its version of the budget, which contains significant funding for our 1915c waivers. This funding will increase direct care worker wages, increase access to care, and revitalize services for our most vulnerable. THANK YOU!

One year ago today, we launched TheCincyHat.com after @_teddy_k had a crazy idea that we could sell some hats and maybe make some money for @VillageofMerici.
365 days, 12,000 online orders and 20,000 hats later, we have endless gratitude for this amazing community. You’ve all made an incredible impact on a very underserved group of adults with developmental disabilities. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. 🧡🖤
