we needed this. now it’s time to win in November and have our first woman president 🙌🏼

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

They blow the leaves into immense piles, and then rake them into huge bags made of polyethylene, a byproduct of fossil fuel refinement which will take longer to decompose than the geologic processes which produced the fuel to begin with; a very, very long time.

A bright and shining example of the suicidal absurdity of technocapitalist society occurs every year at this time, all across the country. 1/n

I also feel gaslit by people who just treat wildfires as a "season", as if they're a given and not a human-influenced worsening phenomenon that's our responsibility to stop.
I always feel so gaslit by people just out their living their lives as normal, raw dogging the wildfire apocalypse air

Most suffering in the modern world is a product of people’s expectations being set so high that basic reality disappoints them Take a moment to enjoy a breath of fresh air, savor the first sip of coffee, & experience your bare feet touching the earth. existence is a miracle

Selflessness is one of those things that you start out intentionally embodying, and then over time the concept itself dissolves into nothing. Then you're left with just what's happening, unconditionally understanding.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say selflessness is impossible, but 100% of the most pro social people I know got there by believing open individualism in their bones. They think they’ll have to be you at some point and so they want your experience to be good

Passing on my congrats, Ari – what an excellent run with Shortcuts 🥹 Hope you can get some much needed rest. And kudos to the team at Apple for taking the baton and carrying it forward from here!

I left Apple this month after 6 years (9 including Workflow!) When we made the Workflow app at a hackathon, I never dreamed that it would be preinstalled on every iPhone, and power systems like Shortcuts and App Intents. I’m so grateful for this journey and for our team.

Whenever there’s an intractable problem in society, where for years and years nothing has really changed, consider the simplistic solution is usually not the right approach. You need to look at the underlying systems to create enduring change, rather than cling to some easy idea.

Love this read on Vision Pro. I have a theory that spatial videos will be the most unexpectedly impactful feature not just for Vision Pro, but for the future of the human experience. It just sounds so emotionally impactful. macstories.net/stories/apple…
