Yes, military flyovers look cool. But taxpayer-funded military hype for private sports events is still weird—and a little creepy.
Community note
Military flyovers at sporting events incur no additional cost to taxpayers, as they are part of routine training missions already funded and required for pilots. 159fw.ang.af.mil/About-Us/Commu… ne.ng.mil/Community-Rela…

This is wayyyy more than the allotted three feet from when the tag attempt is made
The Blue Jays cut the Orioles' lead to 4-2 in the 6th on this groundout by Brandon Valenzuela. Manager Craig Albernaz and shortstop Gunnar Henderson both thought Ernie Clement was out of the basepath on the play and should have been ruled out. However, the call was not changed.

Between this and what we just saw with Gunnar, what are we even doing with replay man?
Jose Siri was shocked this game-ending double play wasn’t reversed

Felt like Adley Rutschman had a lot of problems throwing out runners over the past few years. This year he’s been great. He’s throwing absolute darts. He’s caught 9-of-25 this season which is T-9th in the league by percentage.

He’s batting fifth today against a lefty.
Since joining the Orioles, Tyler O’Neill is 10-for-87 against LHP (.115) In his O’s career as a whole, he’s 49-for-265 (.185) Seems like we’re watching the sunk cost fallacy play out in real time.

I tiered QBs based on who I'd want to start a franchise with RIGHT NOW. Contract value, age, & opportunity cost are all factors. E.g., Drake Maye is the most valuable QB. Josh Allen might even be a little better, but Maye is YOUNG & CHEAP. And probably better. Explanations👇

Everything doesn’t need to be quantified. When a team simply isn’t performing it shows and that’s what’s going on right now—that’s all he was saying. Ben also commonly refers to the analytical side and contextualizes it very well so it’s not like he’s blind to it all.
I love Ben McDonald dearly but this is just more meaningless word salad. “Do you make plays? Do you make pitches?” What does that even mean? Let’s quantify that! But the minute we put that into numbers OH GOD WE’RE DOING THE EVIL ANALYTICS NOT THE ANALYTICS

Bump. Prospects need time. He has some of the best raw power in the entire league.
Be patient with young prospects. Coby Mayo still has time.
