Today’s rain provided the perfect opportunity to reenact our salmon journey stories in a new environment. We found joy in puddles but it didn’t take long for a real world knot to emerge “Can or should the water and land be owned?” Much to unpack tomorrow #sd36learn
Building on our understanding of how the salmon help the forest as well as decomposing numbers. Students chose a number of nutrients to place on their salmon and then decided how they would share the nutrients with the forest. This student hasn’t finished hers yet.
It was the first time I heard this child find himself in a published text. No prompt necessary. Just time and invitation to play.
