Reflecting on my recent TEDx talk, I’ve been thinking a lot about the journey from my early days in Mumbai, navigating auditions while sleeping in a van, to the high-stakes world of Hollywood stunts.
People often see the polished result on screen, but the career I’ve built wasn't defined by the accolades. It was built behind the scenes, during the years of "no’s" and the physical toll of performing my own stunts.
True resilience doesn't come from a polished resume; it comes from character forged in the pressure cooker of this industry.
For those currently facing a setback or staring at a blank slate: Stop looking for the quick fix. Use this moment as your launchpad to build something genuine. Authenticity is the only currency that doesn't depreciate.

A lovely duet of suman with Rafi. Composed by Khayyam from the movie Mohabbat isko kehte hai. Lyrics Majrooh. Picturised on Nanda and Shashi. Directed by Akhtar Mirza. The lyrics of the song's mukhda were similar to that of another Hindi film song released the same year - "Dil-E-Nadan Ko Sambhaaloon To Chale Jaaiyega" ("Faraar", 1965). While this song was written by Majrooh Sultanpuri, the one in "Faraar" (1965) was written by Kaifi Azmi.

As both an artist and a producer, I am constantly reminded that we don’t just create to entertain, we create to provoke thought, spark dialogue, and bridge cultures.
In this ever-evolving industry, I believe the real magic happens through true collaboration and staying grounded in our roots, no matter how bright the lights get. Every project is a reminder to keep pushing boundaries, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes.
