I've just spent an hour scripting the first four episodes of the podcast, so I guess it is happening. Should probably do some job hunting before doing any more podcast work!

So with regard to the huge debate on #NDIS and it's viability, it's CRUCIAL to take a look at the insurance industry and their DENIAL of real disability. @Mark_Butler_MP

I'm not great at actual relaxing so distraction is the best I can do sometimes. Watching Stargate & playing power wash simulator. Then my brain gives me the idea to start a podcast. It even told me how it aligned with other stuff I’m doing. Seriously, brain?!

Employment hero is such a piece of shit software. It’s adding AI bullshit to my “profile” without my consent. Fuck gen AI.

This evening it also sent me a text message “matching” me with a job (poorly, I might add) and telling me I had to click on a link to apply. I signed up for FUCKING NONE of this. Such a shitty fucking platform, why are businesses using it?

My former employer used it for payslips & it fucks up your leave balances frequently. There’s no way to download payslips other than one by one. It’s bad enough on that side of things but it’s truly invasive when used to apply for jobs through.

Time lapses I take are mostly of clouds and sky, which means they may have flashing effects in them and be unsuitable for some people. youtu.be/nPdox4UboM8

Being part of a generation that was told “Wikipedia is not a source” makes it genuinely baffling to me that jobs are now telling people to just use ChatGPT for everything.

They are saying it very clearly. If you get kicked off the NDIS, there is NOTHING for you.

I've made good progress on my next book in the past few weeks. It's finally starting to feel like a book! There were some big structural issues that took some time to fix up, but I'm past those now. Publication will be sooner rather than later. It's smaller fixes time now.

A few things I want to cross check. Some paragraphs I want to edit so they're easier to read. If you're wondering, yes, it's very bizarre to be editing a book on job hunting while job hunting. This is very cliche, but lots has changed, and nothing has changed.

I will have a low-no income option, for those who want to read it but can't afford to pay. Details of that will be included when I launch it.

It really feels like, at this point, they’re just trolling fandom.

1. Remember that any attempt to paint Long Covid as psychogenic in nature deliberately and completely incorrectly biologically decouples SARS-CoV-2 infection from Long Covid. In essence, this rhetoric shifts the causative factor for LC from the virus to the patient's mind.

This has been a very Monday Tuesday. Horrible sleep, got up for a short while then passed out from sheer exhaustion. Had to take partner for scans. Had to fit in some job applications that closed today. Zero idea if they made any sense 😂 Feel like I’ve forgotten something 🤷‍♀️

Applying for jobs even on bleh days is like dragging myself through that quicksand we read about as kids. But redundancy doesn’t last forever & I can’t get Centrelink so hopefully a non discriminatory opportunity comes along before I have to crowdfund to keep a roof over my head

I feel like people think redundancy payments are huge because they hear things like 1-2 years pay when government does it. I do not have a large buffer, and it’s even smaller when you consider how many people won’t hire me just because I need to work at my desk not their desk.
