The ISLA Surgical Site Infection (SSI) surveillance project empowered patients to monitor their surgical site from home 🏘️. Thanks to an innovative app, patients who participated in the project were eight times less likely to require re-operation for SSI. @Isla_health
ALT What did we do to address surgical site infections? Patients who used the ISLA Surgical Site Infection (SSIs) app were six times less likely to be readmitted for SSI than patients receiving a routine follow up.
