As a part-time volunteer for Dean, I've been fortunate to meet some great people. Some of these people have come from MN to NH for this primary because they respect and admire Dean so much. One of them shared that he has an autistic child, and had called Dean's predecessor in congress 4 times seeking help to improve the health system dealing with autism. This previous congressman never returned any of those calls. Once Dean began his campaign, this gentleman approached him about the issue. This connection has resulted in Dean providing the needed advocacy, and a long term friendship, with Dean and the child on a first name basis.
