Two sides of one coin. Issued for the 50th anniversary of the 'Rising of Easter', the commemorative ten shilling coin paired Patrick Pearse on one side with the dying Cú Chulainn on the other, linking revolutionary nationalism with the mythology and symbolism that inspired it.

It should go without saying that the restriction, control and reversal of mass-immigration into Ireland ultimately requires the repossession of the northeast of our country from the clutches of the so called “United Kingdom.”

The 1916 Rising, a Fiume-esque surge of urban violence transformed the fortunes of young men and turned their lives into a great game where the talented could rise; this state of affairs lasted mere years before settling back into contained stupefaction, but...

Irish freedom fighter Padraig Pearse was executed on the 3rd of May 1916. These were his final words to his mother after receiving Communion: 'I just received Holy Communion. I am happy, except for the great grief of parting from you. This is the death I should have asked if God had given me the choice of all deaths—to die a soldier’s death for Ireland and for freedom. We have done right. People will say hard things of us now, but later on will praise us. Do not grieve for all this, but think of it as a sacrifice which God asked of me and of you. Good-bye again, dear mother. May God bless you for your great love for me and for your great faith, and may He remember all you have so bravely suffered. I hope soon to see papa, and in a little while we shall be all together again. I have not words to tell you of my love for you and how my heart yearns to you all I will call to you in my heart at the last moment. Your son, Pat'

economic benefits have been immense for Ireland & membership is rather vital for our volatile economy to have any stability. The North is a financial black hole that is far behind the 26 in development now, despite its headstart when we became independent. Great management by

Britain did the exact same thing & then cucked itself by leaving and not actually resolving any of the issues it said leaving would do. The growing political influence of it is bad (Kohlrahn did not exactly support it in this post - the EU was not even mentioned), but it's

If we had not won independence from England, we would be yet another shire with funny accents. Today, the memory and dreams of those who fought to keep the promethean spirit of Gaelic culture and nationhood is alive more than ever. God save Ireland.
