In the last week I: - forgot `req.json` is how you get the body of a request - rebuilt a pre-AI project from scratch that took ~1 month of dev time from scratch in an afternoon. The new version is faster, cleaner, and more extensible I will take this tradeoff
I understand the concern of skills atrophying when using agents. But so far I am not seeing it. Instead I have learned all sorts of dark secrets of linux networking I somehow didn’t learn before agents building a networking product.

Very cool formalization of event sourcing from spec to implementation. I love the concepts of Spec DSLs that convert into tests This framework might be a bit too rigid for my tastes but super interesting and built of solid foundations
Introducing: Specter Supercharge Agentic Engineering with - Typescript Framework for Specs that compile, execute, and scaffold your app - Vertical Slices that can be built, tested, and operated independently Agents can finally work on large complex codebases reliably

The MCP spec we all yearned for! This is going to make it so much easier to build good MCPs
The release candidate for MCP 2026-07-28 is out. The protocol is now stateless: no handshake, no session id, any request can hit any server instance. Plus extensions as first-class (MCP Apps, Tasks), auth hardening, and a proper deprecation policy so we don't have to do this again. blog.modelcontextprotocol.io…

Companies are trying to make "software factories" but have never hear of kaizen, six sigma, or lean manufacturing. I disagree with the "factory" concept for code but if you're gonna do it at least learn from the last 100 years of innovation there

I love Pi so much. I really didnt like that the edit tool looked the same as generic tool success blocks. It was hard to catch edits at a glance. Told pi to make an extension, 1 min later everything works ty @badlogicgames

Seeing a lot of (good) jest about who came up with the "tree" model for agent sessions. I think these guys were actually the first to do it (in 2023!) x.com/transmissions11/status…

.@_Dave__White_ and I are excited to open source our power tool for interacting w/ LLMs: Flux. Flux allows you to generate multiple completions per prompt in a tree structure and explore the best ones in parallel. Try it out at flux.paradigm.xyz
